wada sez: Another Pretender origin story by Villa for the Sunbow cartoon—though originally published later, chronologically this one’s set earlier in the timeline, so Villa bills it as a prelude to his earlier storylines “What Lies Beyond The Veil” (see prior reruns!) and “Pretender To The Throne” (stay tuned!), instead labelling it as part of “The Road To The Rebirth”. The strip homages Furman’s Marvel US story “A Savage Circle”. Bonus material including Italian translation below.
