Fail? Win Again
People often believe that children are nothing but a reflection of their parents. It is important for parents to understand their child because growing up is a phase that sets the right foundation.
When I look back at my childhood days, I often see myself relishing some of the best memories. I remember the time when I had come back home with a disastrous result. I didn’t know how to break the news and I had to say that I was really scared of what the outcome would be.
However to my surprise, I found that none of my parents were infuriated. My dad was quick to tell that failure is nothing but a stepping stone to success. He told me of the times when he had faced major hardships in his life. But that did not deter him because all it did was give him the push to work further and achieve his aims. He said that every time you fail, it should inspire you to achieve something even better.
My mom was quick to chip in with some really inspiring advice too. So, I am happy that my parents chose to help me out by understanding my situation rather than lambasting me for my poor performance. It was at that moment that I realized that I had nothing to be scared of. My parents trusted not just me, but even my failures. They knew, I was more than another stop on the road. They believed in me and trusted me for who I am. Trust me, that is the most rewarding feeling in his whole world and I just knew that I would never need anything or anyone else to help me sail through the adversities. Life has been rewarding ever since and I am so glad that it turned out the way it has.
