there are a few weird settings in a world that is set underground and in a world that has magic energy everywhere
one of the weirder settings is that in the deepest reaches of the planet, there is a huge layer of magic fire burning across it, like an ocean
sheer cliffs of stone surround it. there aren’t very many shorelines, but you probably wouldn’t want to be near the ‘water’ anyways
some actual waterfalls run off into it, but the water mostly evaporates and floats back up through the tunnels
occasionally, there are massive tree-like metallic pillars that seemed to have risen out of the ocean
this ocean is also where Kemerideng is located, not that a floating fleet of ships has a fixed location. the metallic ships are carefully enchanted, and resist the corrosive fires better than most things
