So I was at the store today, waiting at the pharmacy counter. This woman was getting her meds and had her two kids with her, one of which was a young baby. She must’ve been like, less than a year old. Well, this kid starts wigglin’ her little fingers at me, I wave back. Then she drops her bottle and it hits the floor really loudly. The mother turns around and looks at her, waiting for her to cry, but she doesn’t. When she doesn’t, the mother picks it up and is like “Did you drop this?” But the kid is still sitting there, still waiving. Then the mother goes “Ah, she’s flirting, okay.” And turns back to the counter. At first, I thought the mother thought I was a man, not uncommon, but when her son asks me what I’m doing behind them, the mother says “Well she’s waiting in line, just like we were a few minutes ago. So basically, she’s still doing that weird “she’s flirting” thing, but it is regardless of gender, or perceived gender. Her kid just likes to flirt.
