Watch this film and tell me it is directed by the same man who would do the Lord of the Ring series. You can’t because this film looks nothing like what Peter Jackson would do later in his career. For the longest time Jackson was known as a b-horror film master who cared more about gore than story. His first film is a great example as Bad Taste has several moments of disgusting, yet visually impressive, moments. The puke scene is something I don’t want to remember as it is so fucking vile. If the point of it was to make the audience puke then mission accomplished! In the grand scheme of things, Bad Taste is not a great movie. It’s silly and it has its moments but now a days it’s just a weird, first step into the bizarre career of a man from New Zealand.
