The Drama Kid Has Feelings

(Y/N) approached his sisters' locker.

“Who the hell did this?” He asked, arms crossed as Kate furiously wiped at the insult on her locker. Kate glanced at him.

“No one-”

“Kate.” (Y/N) cocked a brow. Kate frowned, sighing softly. 

“Just some rumour going around..." She said. (Y/N) eyed her, hands in his pockets.

"Who started the rumor?"

"I think it was Emaline." She looked back at her locker. (Y/N) clenched his jaw and nodded.

"I'm fine, (N/N). I promise." Kate assured. (Y/N) sighed.

"Alright... Let me know if anyone else bugs you, okay?" Kate smiled, nodding. (Y/N) walked away, ignoring anyone who greeted him. He turned a corner, bumping into someone.

"Can anyone in this school watch where the- Oh, hey, Messner." Oliver watched (Y/N), grinning. (Y/N) furrowed his brows a bit. He and Oliver weren't buddies. Hell, they never even had a conversation but Oliver acted as if they were best friends. It was odd for the guy with a god complex.

"Not in the mood for your drama kid antics. Especially after what your friend did." (Y/N) said, walking past him. Oliver stared after him, hurt and confused. He blinked, realizing what he meant.

"Emaline..." He growled quietly, going off to find his friend.

(Y/N) looked up from his book, overhearing some girls.

"Did you see Emaline's and Oliver's fight? I think they're not friends anymore." (Y/N) glanced at Oliver when he entered the classroom. Oliver sent a small wave and (Y/N) gave a small nod in response. It was probably the first time he had actually reacted to Oliver greeting him during class. (Y/N) turned his attention onto the morning announcements, watching the little music video Luke, a friend of his sister, made. (Y/N) looked over at Oliver, making eye contact with him. They held it for a little until..

"Kate Messner... Will you go out with me?" (Y/N) sat up, brows furrowed slightly. Everyone in his class glanced at him. He focused on the screen as the camera went to Kate and Luke. (Y/N) clenched his jaw when Kate said yes, tapping his pencil against the desk.

"Well, (Y/N)-"

"Don't." He glared at the teacher. The teacher cleared their throat and started the lesson. (Y/N) barely paid attention. The look on his sisters face. She was too sweet for her own good. (Y/N) blinked, staring at his broken pencil tip. He rolled his shoulders, trying to relax. (Y/N) stood, packing his things.

"Wanna skip? You certainly look like you need it." Oliver crossed his arms, approaching him.

"My dad would find out in a heartbeat.." (Y/N) shifted his glare onto him. His gaze softened and he sighed.

"Fine... Whatever." (Y/N) slung his bag over his shoulder. Oliver seemed surprised, expecting to be brushed off.

"Well? Come on." (Y/N) walked away, letting Oliver catch up with him. (Y/N) led him away to a secret spot, sitting down. Oliver sat down beside him, offering a cigarette.

"Heard you got into an argument with Emaline.." (Y/N) said, handing the cigarette back to him. Oliver nodded.

"She can be a bitch sometimes."

"What was it about?" (Y/N) looked at him. Oliver licked his lips, avoiding his gaze.

"The whole Kate thing." Oliver replied. (Y/N) hummed.

"So, the drama kid has feelings. For who makes me wonder..." (Y/N) blew the smoke into his face.

"We're having a party.. You should come." Oliver said as he turned his head, looking at him. They slowly inched closer.

"(Y/N) Messner, report to the principal's office." (Y/N) groaned softly, standing up.

"See you at the party, Oliver." (Y/N) smiled before jogging away. Oliver breathed out, ruffling up his hair.

(Y/N) drank some beer, chatting with one of the girls. He glanced at Oliver as he spoke about New York. His attention went onto the stage as the curtains were drawn and there stood Luke and his friends. Kate joined them.

"Kate." (Y/N) stood up, narrowing his eyes. He saw panic flash in her face.

"(Y/N)." Kate squeaked.

"Get the guys, Let (Y/N) deal with his sister." Oliver instructed. (Y/N) placed his beer down, pulling his sister away as the drama kids pounced on Luke and his friends.

"What the hell are you doing here? With beer for fucks sake." (Y/N) hissed.

"I could ask you the same thing! Does dad know you drink and smoke?" Kate asked, glancing over at Luke.

"Answer the question, Kate."

"We came to make peace with them!" Kate explained as Luke squealed. The boys were shoved on stage and Kate joined them when the lights turned on. Luke explained their idea. Oliver forced them to come up wiyh an idea. (Y/N) tried to light a cigarette, huffing when his lighter didn't work. He looked up as Kate spoke. He wasn't very interested in their little rivalry. (Y/N) went off once Luke started drinking. He found a small spot and leaned against the wall. (Y/N) tried his lighter again, only for someone to light the cigarette for him. He glanced at Oliver, smiling.

"Hey, Romeo." (Y/N) greeted. Oliver put his lighter away.

"Prince Charming." Oliver grinned. (Y/N) chuckled.

"About the other day..." Oliver trailed off as (Y/N) stepped closer.

"When we almost..." Oliver was pressed against the wall.

"Kissed.." Oliver felt his lips brush against (Y/N)'s and almost melted.

"What about it?" (Y/N) asked softly, fingers trailing down. Oliver replied by kissing him, wrapping his arms around him when (Y/N) picked him up. It was the start of an adorable relationship.

Just finished Everything Sucks! If I knew I was gay in high school and a girl talked to me the way Emaline talked to Kate, I would lose my mind. The "hey sweetie" and playfulness.. I can't.

And they canceled the show? On a cliffhanger?? Just imagine if we'd gotten the chance to have a second season. I wanted to see Kate come out to her dad, Emaline's background story, what Luke's dad did to make his mom dislike him so much, how the other characters would've handled gay characters, especially being set in the 90s.. Where the hell Tyler went, lol. Did that boy go to New York to hang out with Oliver? WE'LL NEVER KNOW.

I may or may not be completely obsessed with this tv show...

so you know how netflix is debating on if they should renew everything sucks!

I hope they do because I need to know the following things:

1.) kate and emaline's relationship

2.) why the fuck leroy is back a the o'neils

3.) where tyler went

3.) what would happen to ken and sherry because of leroy's sudden appearance

4.) how mcquaid would react to them kissing, and how he'll deal with his heartbreak over emaline

5.) if oliver is ever coming back and what would emaline do if he did

and most importantly:

6.) did stargrove get park ranger linda
