Hello! I’ve been reading this blog for a while and I love your writing, especially what you do for the guardians (no one ever seems to write for them). I wanted to see if I could request a platonic fic with the guardians and their favored vessel(s)? Like one or more vessels they don’t view as awfully as the others and could even say they enjoy being with. We don’t usually get to see them caring for others, but that’s what fanfiction’s for ;). Thank you again for your lovely fics!

Kyofu:

You would not be exempt from the guardian of fear's love of terrorizing. There's few things he enjoys more than watching vessels' fur puff up in fright. As his favorite vessel, you'd probably be a little jumpy but quick on the recovery when you notice it's just Kyofu. Unlike most Guardians, he's pretty big on physical touch. He'll put a hand on your shoulders or even rest his arm around them, lacking the understanding (and the care) that such a gesture is often viewed as romantic. Unsurprisingly, he - like the other guardians would - still looks down on you as a lesser being. Kyofu has a tenancy to defend you from the other guardians if he feels that they are being too cruel. "Now, now, don't break my toy," he'd say as he'd wag a finger at the guilty party. They'd be rather confused by his behavior, often immediately ending the cruelty they were participating in as a part of their questioning.

Gekido:

He loves a hard worker, that's for sure. If you manage to live up to his often high-flying expectations, he'll be rather impressed by you. Of course, that may result in him trying to push your boundaries just to see how much you can take, but if he is satisfied with the work you were doing initially, he has no intention making you run at maximum effort 100% of the time. Even Gekido knows that over-working his employed is overall bad for his meat processing plant. That being said, he likes to pick favorites, and his favorites are rewarded with longer breaks and rather pleasant talks with the man himself. Despite him being often a little quick to anger, he's a decent conversationalist - especially when compared to the other guardians - but his work and the performance of others is often the only thing on his mind.

Kyofuku:

Kyofuku is not well liked among his peers or among the vessels, but he is certainly one of the nicer Guardians despite his rather quirky behavior. The guardian of joy appreciates an understanding, patient soul who does not mind his personality. Though his outward attitude is often happy, internally he seeks positive attention to fulfill his role. He does not often earn this attention from vessels or guardians, so reacting positively to any of his antics would already have you on his good side. It is consistent positive attention that would earn you a spot as his favorite vessel. Kyofuku would want only to make you happy, and thus you would be spared from the violence he often commits, even if you're roped into one of his games.

Zetsubo:

The guardian of despair would be a difficult creature to please. She would have to be able to relate to you personally. Zetsubo would more likely be able to appreciate a vessel who wears and expresses their feelings outwardly. Of course, the feelings that would oft arise in Lord X's world would be negative, but she almost prefers that. Of course, it plays right into her role as the Guardian of despair, but it also gives her another role: the guardian with most control over you. No doubt, Zetsubo can be emotionally manipulative, she can draw out all those horrible feelings and then act like she's a shoulder to cry on, creating a relationship where you are dependent on her for comfort, but Zetsubo can decide how long she wants to leave you hopeless. She can display some possessive behaviors, wanting to keep you away from other guardians so she can keep you all to herself.

Kito:

Deadly serious and endlessly devoted to his lord, Kito would value anyone who could do the same. His favored vessel would have to be strong of will enough to resist his lure that would trap people in endless worship. He would not encourage you to worship Lord X through him, but rather worship him directly. Should you be obedient to his request, he would put you in a some what of a higher up position in the cult of X, giving you minimal influence over the worshipers in his temple. To keep you away from the influence of the other guardians, he would do his best to ensure that you remain at his temple. Despite his devotion to such a violent creature, Kito can be a rather wise individual, offering you such wisdom in return for your devotion and obedience.

Ken'o:

The guardian of disgust would likely connect most with two types of people: Someone who is similarly negative in their view of the world and everyone in it, or someone who is a constant delightful ray of sunshine that not even his dour beliefs could shine on them. Should you be the former, he would encourage your negative thoughts. Toward the world you came from and the one you now reside in, the vessels, the other guardians, yourself and even him. He doesn't need you to like him, he just wants you to be like him. If you are the later, Ken'o would really try his best to find you irritating. He would dig his heels in, wanting nothing more than to feel the familiar revolting feeling he experienced every time he was forced to interact with a vessel, but would find it impossible to do so due to your impervious positivity. Ken'o would not know what to do with a favored vessel. He would simply feel relief when he is entrusted with you by his lord, his expression softening, and his behavior similarly more gentle.

Yokubo:

You'd have to be beautiful, or one hell of a charmer. The Guardian of Desire's biggest weakness is no doubt his ego, so you would do well to boost it. Yokubo would still look down on you, much like the other guardians, and would feel that you are more of a lapdog or a little pet rather than someone he respected. You're nice to look at or amuse him in some way, and that's all he wants from you. The other guardans have a tenancy to be rough and vessels often become disfigured. Should that occur to you, he may do his best to help you remedy your appearance. The thought of something similar happening to himself frightens Yokubo, garnering some of his sympathy and protection. The moment you lose the thing that he could appreciate about you - however - would become the moment he drops you.
