OK, so my guitar teacher is just as much of a nerd as I am, (DND, Skyrim, LOTR, etc) and he's teaching me Fable songs I want to learn (currently learning Reavers Mansion) and he's gotten curious about Fable since I love it and it's music so much. I only had Fable 2/3, but I lent him my copy of 2 to start, and...

Do we ever actually see Len smile? Like, I know we do, logically, but it feels so rare?? It makes me so upset how little we actually get to see him smile and be happy. I wanna make a fictional man laugh so badly.

He does smile sometimes, but he's not a happy person and it shows. At least he's got a bit more joy in his life since Lisa returned post-Flashpoint and is no longer dying/comatose, because in the Johns era (and in the first half of the New 52) those were clearly significant sources of his pain. So logically I guess he should be a little less grim now, but him being reserved and 'cold' are probably defining parts of his personality these days, so maybe we can't expect him to get much cheerier. And the Snarts' abusive background is still canon, so I'm sure that's a big reason why he's still grim.

That raises an interesting question: how happy or good-natured would he be without an abusive childhood?

I am... SO CONFUSED. With the newest issues that apparently have Evan in them? The previews are so confusing. When does Evan come in, and is he actually consistently in the issues? I'd like to get them because Evan, but I am so ridiculously lost.

He isn't consistently in the issues, so it's just sporadic appearances here and there, and some of those appearances are no more than a single panel. He's in the following issues (all Flash v6):

I'm going to spoil the last issue behind a cut (and with an image to act as a buffer), which you can choose to read or not. Don't look at it if you'd rather read the issues unspoiled!

He is "unwritten" in issue #12, and now "he never existed", which seems to indicate that he's been erased from history. I was really hoping that he'd be barfed back into existence when the Speed Force gave birth (don't ask), but if he was, it wasn't shown on panel. So I don't think it's impossible that he'll return in the future if some powerful being re-creates him somehow, but it isn't looking good at this point :(

Can someone PLEASE explain to me why Len is out in the cold in his boxers?! It's funny but I'm so confused!

You mean in the Harley Quinn animated series? They probably don't know much about him and are just assuming he doesn't mind the cold. Then again, since it's this show I think they'll do whatever they think is funny regardless of what they know about him…it was an episode which had Len somehow wearing his hood without his coat, after all, so maybe logic goes out the window :>

Hey 'rogues, could I get some Evan comic recommendations? I'd love to collect more for him but I'm faceblind and can't tell if it's him or Sam at a glance on a cover or what some good issues would be (even the obsessing over the ex one) I have the first issue of Rogues War, jsyk.

Underworld Unleashed and Flash: Fastest Man Alive are included on the list not because they're great appearances, but because they're important for his history. That's the main thing I've struggled with when writing rec lists; how to handle series that were terrible or OOC like Countdown to Final Crisis but still important for the character's history. I decided to leave Countdown out of most other Rogues' recs because it isn't vital to anyone but James and Hartley. But it's listed for Double Down because he doesn't have many appearances otherwise and at least his scenes were fun.
