jesse: alright guys, meet aurora. aurora, these are my good friends. nichole, who’s got her nerd glasses on tonight.
nichole: shut up. ignore him, aurora, i ran out of contacts.
jesse: rocio, who actually goes to willow creek.
rocio: yeah, we know each other! hey aurora!
jesse: and finally, kendall.
aurora: hey everyone! [mumbles] kinda feeling a little overdressed right now.
jesse: naw, don’t worry about it. you look great.
kendall: yo jesse, you didn't tell me aurora was one of the hot girls who were making out at that party. aurora, is your friend coming too?
jesse: dude, oh my gosh. how many times do i have to tell you, being a prick is not a personality trait. by the way, where’s carlo and...
nichole: they're... upstairs.
jesse: are you kidding? they better not be in my bed. [sighs] c’mon aurora, let’s go get you some drinks.
“I’ve always had to struggle and fight, and that’s made me strong. It’s made me who I am,” Kendall said, not making eye contact. “I’m just, having a rough day, that’s all.”
“Nope, I’m out, I’m not doing this,” Kendall shouted the moment the door opened showing the drop back down to the ground. “Why would anyone do this?”
“I bet you wouldn’t be so bossy if you kissed a girl,” Kendall teased, reaching out to poke the other on the forehead.
A New Flavor
Kendall was a light sleeper. She didn’t used to be, back in high school when she was a party girl, she could sleep through pretty much anything. Her time spent in the military had kicked that habit. That coupled with her PTSD made Kendall a light sleeper. It was a good thing she was through, because if Kendall had slept through the noise of Yvaine trying to slip out of her apartment unnoticed, then things might have turned out a lot differently. Heck, there was a chance that if Kendall had slept through this morning, they would never have seen each other again.
Kendall opened her eyes to quite the sight. Yvaine seemed to be trying to put her shirt on, while trying to stay under the blanket that she was wrapped in. Kendall smirked as she watched the blonde struggle. “Going somewhere?” She asked her voice a little extra raspy since it was the first thing she said that day.
