My Christmas Gift to You
Yep, Christmas. Let's ignore all that commercial bullspit, crumble up our gift lists, and celebrate in our own ways. This is a reminder to enjoy each other and express good will, not a permission. Let this holiday be a landmark towards what we plan to do all year round in the future. I realized this when I first had a hard time asking others what I wanted. Quality over quantity. So this year, I'm offering COLORED requests to the first bunch who ask. Why so early? Because even though I'll be out of school soon, I'm still busy and I plan to have them all finished by Christmas. I'm looking for some new ideas and I'll decide what to approve. NO BLOOD, SEX, NUDITY, OR PROFANITY. To avoid confusion I’m only accepting ones from Deviantart users. So go to http://kenisu-of-dragons.deviantart.com/journal/Requests-My-Christmas-Gift-to-You-575828415 to ask. I don't know how many I'll do yet. We'll see how this plays out. So ask away, enjoy the month and have a Happy Holiday.
Hey, I just read your intro, and it truly sucks that the Zelda fanbase is like that. I haven't hung around them in YEARS, but seeing as how I come from an EarthBound fanbase that loves to trash my favorite game in the MOTHER series (the first one), I find it perfectly believable that people would be like that. I think older games in most franchises offer a unique atmosphere that newer, more "sophisticated" games lack, and are perfect breeding grounds for fan creativity like comics and such.
I hear ya. If I still had all the energy and motivation from my highschool days, I'd totally want to make my own comic that retold the Zelda 1 story, with my own creative spins and such.
Funny that you mention it, I adored MOTHER 1 too. I actually DID start a comic that re-told that story. But it didn't go very far, And I know what you mean about the other fans. I got treated pretty harshly for preferring MOTHER 1 and EarthBound over MOTHER 3 around the time the game was released.
