where ken sees reader talking to an old friend at a party and the friend is clearly flirting with the reader but they're too nice to see that so ken gets super jealous.

At the party he’s relaxed at first, leaning against a wall, drink in hand, watching you talk to people. He likes seeing you comfortable.
Then he notices, Your friend leaning a little too close. Laughing at everything you say and Touching your arm while talking.
And you’re just smiling and chatting because you’re nice… completely missing the flirting.
Kenji’s internal thoughts immediately become something like.
“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me.”
He watches for a minute, trying to convince himself he’s not jealous. But he absolutely is.
Kenji is not the type to sit quietly and suffer. After about 30 seconds of watching the flirting, he walks over and casually inserts himself into the conversation. But his casual is very obvious. He’ll slide an arm around your shoulders or waist like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
Kenji:
“Hey. Didn’t know you were making new friends.”
His tone sounds light, but his eyes are definitely sizing the other person up.
If the friend keeps flirting or acting too comfortable, Kenji’s competitive side comes out. He’ll interrupt you mid-sentence just to pull your attention back.
Kenji:
“Babe, you were gonna tell me something earlier, remember?”
or
Kenji (to the friend):
“So how do you two know each other?”
The question sounds normal, but he’s clearly evaluating the threat level.
You genuinely do not realize the person is flirting. You’re just being polite. He’ll lean down and quietly mutter near your ear:
Kenji:
“You know they’re flirting with you, right?”
And when you blink in confusion like.
“Wait… what?”
He just sighs dramatically. At that point he’s done pretending he’s not jealous. He’ll pull you closer and say something like:
Kenji:
“Sorry, I’m stealing them for a minute.”
No explanation. He just walks you away. Now the jealousy finally comes out. He’s not angry at you, just annoyed and a little insecure.
Kenji:
“You seriously didn’t notice that?”
When you shake your head, confused, he rubs the back of his neck.
Kenji:
“They were practically leaning on you.”
Then quieter.
Kenji:
“Didn’t really love watching that.”
He immediately denies it.
Kenji:
“I wasn’t jealous.”
Pause.
“…Okay maybe a little.”
Then he adds with a smirk.
Kenji:
“But can you blame me?”
Once the mood softens, he gets a bit clingy for the rest of the party. Arm around you constantly. Pulling you into conversations with him, Checking in every few minutes and if that friend approaches again?
Kenji just smiles and says.
“Sorry. They’re with me.”
Like it’s the most obvious thing in the world. Kenji would absolutely tease you later for being too nice.
Kenji:
“You’re not allowed to be that friendly. People get the wrong idea.”
Then after a second.
“…including me.”
