Embrium :: What is the kindest thing anyone had ever done to your character, and do they remember or even know it happened?
The kindest thing anyone had ever done for Aly was the first time her little band traveled to Denerim, Leliana quietly pointed things out in the city. The types of shops in the market, what a Chantry looked like in the city. Leliana gave her cues what to say, how to act. Aly had never been around so many humans in so small a space before, discounting Ostagar where she at least had the respect of others for being a Grey Warden recruit, and besides an army camp was not so unlike a Dalish one. Cities were entirely different, and Aly really could never tell Leliana how grateful she was for softly spoken cues and directions in such a place that she’d never experienced before.
Rashvine :: Who/what is the one thing or person your character simply cannot stand?
Rhys is an excellent player of the Game. Free Marches politics are a little less strenuous than Orlesian but she learned it well nonetheless. That said, she absolutely despises it, especially the Orlesian version. If so much hadn’t depended on their success at Halamshiral, or on her presence there, she would have handed the whole business over to Josephine and been done with it. (It took both Josephine and Cullen wheedling her to get her to agree to play the Game with Orlesians in the first place)
Deathroot :: What is the most horrifying thing the Nightmare can cause your character to see?
Before the Conclave it would have been giant spiders attacking her clan, her quiver empty of arrows and Kenna unable to help. Her helplessness is still her major fear, but now she thinks of it as red lyrium growing out of her clanmates and friends, tearing them apart in dungeons where nothing is green and growing and the broken sky is hidden beneath floors and floors of dark stone.
Deep Mushroom :: What act does your character consider morally foul but practically necessary? Does your character condone morally foul actions for practicality’s or necessity’s sake at all?
If at all possible, Arrahon avoids condoning morally foul actions for any reason. He’s been thinking as Clan Lavellan’s First for too long to consider being anything less than a role model of moral rightness (and also the looming knowledge of being not only Dalish but technically an apostate mage among the human inquisition has him watching his actions). Given their circumstances however, Arrahon condones looting the dead. It’s a minor sin at most, and the Inquisition needs supplies too badly to allow the dead to keep the things they aren’t using.
Vandal Aria :: How well can your character bounce back from personal tragedies?
She’s had moderate success thus far. Amithel was young, but old enough to remember and miss her mother when she died, but she had the fall back of her father. She liked Nelaros, her betrothed, but his death made her angry and she took solace in her anger (though her grief for him led her to naming the steadfast Mabari who followed her out of Ostagar after him). Duncan’s death wasn’t as personal for her as it was for Alistair, but it cut her deeply. Truthfully, Ami heals better when there are others who share in her sorrow, and she is more dependent on others when she suffers a tragedy than she would like to admit.
