1.) Maintain straight-A-student status—check 2.) Become valedictorian at my high school—check 3.) Land a scholarship at Stanford University—check 4.) Leave Scottsdale, Arizona for good—check 5.) Have fun at college, but not too much that I lose my scholarship—check 6.) Do a mind-blowing internship and ace it—check 7.) Graduate college with flying colors—check 8.) Work at the San Francisco Chronicle—check 9.) Never come back home again, except for very few and very short visits— 10.) Forget all about Kennedy Brock—
