Moving Targets- Red Eyes (Dead Broke Rekerds/Boss Tuneage Records)
On their 4th album since reforming back in 2018, Kenny Chambers and his Moving Targets are really hitting a stride here.
Red Eyes was produced by J. Robbins, who did a fantastic job capturing the band's sound and energy. The guitars are searing, the rhythms are powerful and tight, and Chambers' vocals sound as good as they ever have.
A few of the hard chargers on here include "On the Run," "Superficial World," "King Zen," and "Nine Lives," to name but a few (and do not miss the final cut, "Regrets," as it's a real gem).
I'm very happy to see Chambers and company (the rhythm section of Yves and Emilien) still releasing MT records (though was a bit bummed the other day to see there will be no more American tours as it's a losing proposition for the band....ah well, I guess I can go to Europe if I want to see them). Red Eyes hits in all the right places!

Moving Targets- "On the Run" single (Boss Tunage Records/Dead Broke Rekerds/Waterslide Records)
Another new, fab single by Kenny Chambers and his rhythm section of Emilien Catalano and Yves Thibault. The 'targets have been fierce since they returned in 2018 and have released three albums since their return (the most recent being 2023's In the Dust).
The forthcoming album, Red Eyes, will be out in late July. "On the Run" is the 2nd single from said record, and it's a scorcher. With a driving rhythm and Chambers' searing guitar, the song moves from lane to lane, zigzagging in and out of traffic on the way to their destination (with the soaring chorus "Is this the last goodbye?).
Chambers adds a white hot lead near the end, and before you know it, the song is over and you cue it up once again.
Really looking forward to Red Eyes!
