What a sad day… Can’t even process this.... I am speechless.... When i moved to Japan and I was living out of language and out if culture, you look for what is comfortable and familiar. I have a love of the Japanese comedy community. Laughing at our human behaviors are universal and go beyond the languages we speak. Ken Shimuras characters and comedy as well as his standing as a personality in Japanese television made me smile and laugh out loud. His ability to create enjoyable programs as a producer and creator will be remembered forever. I give my condolences and love to Japan. He will be missed by many. One of the most famous comedian in Japan passed away today. I grew up with his comedy shows and I have laughed so many times.
