Today our hearts are heavy 💔

We’re strengthening our LGBTQ+ friends who have lost loved ones,Those who were killed in camps,Those who can’t even afford to say a proper farewell.

Today, a lesbian sister lost her sweet mum, the one person who never abandoned her.

It’s so painful to grieve when you can’t go back to your own country.

When home isn’t safe.

Let’s also stand in solidarity with those we’ve lost here in Gorom, and back in Kakuma Camp in Kenya.

May their souls rest in peace.

We continue to ask UNHCR to speed up our resettlement processes,

so we can get to safety, where we can live with peace and dignity.

Hold each other. Grieve together. Don’t let them be forgotten.

Despite the both of us rarely interacting over the last years, she was an amazing and sweet person, not only for me but also to my friend Grizz who was very close with.

I really hope you're doing fine up there. Me, Grizz and anyone who was close with you will be definitely missing you.
