Kibera - Day 4
Another fun day in Kibera. Still no cameras so we are learning with paper and pencil. Odd to run a photo program without cameras. But, our new sponsor #SONY will be helping us out with that as of tomorrow. I'm going to be picking up a care package of still and video cameras from them tomorrow. BIG thanks to Sriker and George, and of course to Samir for clearing the way. Ideally, we will have new notebooks tomorrow as well as cameras. The area we are in, next to the Olympic Bus Terminus is a bit of an enclosed cul-de-sac so we will walk around taking photos. That should be fun. It's also nice to note that there were at least six other volunteers at the Centre today. Two Danes are shooting a video, a couple other Euros are teaching some English, and some Asian men and women are teaching mathematics (and pouring concrete!). It's good to be in a place where there is outside help that's interested.
