So I went to AnimeNYC this year. Shortly before it came around I found out about a Deemo panel and rush made myself an Alice cosplay.. then got the bright idea to make a Mirai plush to go with it. I’ve never made a plush outside of my Mawaru Penguindrum Ni-go and a really bad bunny, so I tried to follow the official as best as I could. I didn’t do so good, and I wound up stealing the bell from one of my cats toys. It works.
I got to play Deemo Reborn which was pretty cool, and the guy running the demo didn’t notice my Alice cosplay until I pointed at the display image of her then it clicked for him. He seemed pretty happy that someone was cosplaying from it, and playing the game was pretty cool. Guess I need to hook up my VR finally.
The panel was really cool and they announced that there is going to be a movie for Deemo and finally people can be forced to watch it with me, since constantly telling them how good Deemo is hasn’t made anybody play it... but at the panel they told us to post to social media and we could win a special prize. I got picked the next day... And I cried when they handed it to me. Then I cried more when I got a special visit. Overall it was a lot of crying and saying thank you and embarrassing myself.
So uh. Yeah. Deemo means a lot to me. I play it a lot to keep myself mentally calm, especially with all the health issues I’ve been having for the past few months. I’m not that good at it but I still think it’s super worth playing, and besides why else am I going to use a toy-con piano? The ending still makes me cry despite multiple completions.
