Well, I see what happened with Lisa and Ben as symptomatic of this same issue, tbh. It's why he didn't fully commit, why he continued searching, and why Lisa knew in her heart it was 'game over' the second she saw Sam again (as she confessed under the influence of Veritas). Dean needs this healed as much as Sam does, even though it is going to hurt.

But screens keep out bees and Mosquitos and flies! :x I moved from Ontario to BC and I miss screens

i've never had the pleasure of meeting as mosquito since we don't have them and the bees are disappearing, leaving only flies for me to handle!

So to you, "Fiction" means that a narrative you're already used to can't ever be contradicted or retroactively changed because this is too much like a news show/documentary? So, by that logic, the "Luke I am your father" revelation contradicts the oh-so-concrete laws of fiction because Star Wars isn't the Jerry Springer show and we can't have sudden familial revelations at the drop of a hat...
