THE MOST ELEGANT KEY CHANGE IN ALL OF POP MUSIC.
This is 27 minutes of perhaps the single best music analysis Iāve seen anywhere (and Iāve seen a lot). Thereās some heavy music theory discussed and will likely go over your head in places (it did me numerous times). But let me just say that this video gets to the heart of what makes music give goosebumps and make us cry. It doesnāt even matter what you think of CĆ©line Dion (Iām completely indifferent), this will knock you out.
Itās worth the 27 minutes my friends.
I just remembered that I made a ācheat sheetā for figuring out Key Changes, for both flats and sharps. As well as the major key and their minor counter part. So I figured that I would post that here just in case anyone needs help or would find it useful :)

Thoughts on Changes to Diamonds and Key Systems
I have gotten a couple asks (and answered them) but am also going to do a quick post on my thoughts on the changes with the key and diamond system. It seems they have gone to 3 hours between keys, gone back to 1 diamond per chapter, and rolled out the 5 diamonds a day for everyone (I finally got it on my phone, months after I had it on my iPad).
1). I am probably in the minority, but I donāt see the 3 hours between keys as that big of a deal, especially since right now they arenāt releasing more than 2 books in the same day, except very rarely in the overlap between one book premiering and another ending. If we had 3 books updating every Friday, this would annoy me more.
The diamond for ad system has always capped ads at 5 or 6 a day and you can still get that with the new key system, so players arenāt really missing out, and it shouldnāt effect replays for diamonds. Sure, it is a little annoying, but I donāt think it is a huge deal in the grand scheme of things.
Though, like the diamond per chapter thing (which I am going to talk about) this is something that effects new players more and offers less incentive to catch up on old books.
2). I do find the drop back to 1 diamond per chapter annoying (especially since I have a ton of unplayed books on my phone I never got around too) but since it is coming with the universal roll out of the daily reward system and they have the ads in place, I canāt complain too much. I do think this is something that effects new players more as it gives less incentive to play old books, while most long-term players have played all the books or at least al the ones they are interested in.
If you play weekly and are caught up, it is the difference of about 8 diamonds a week, so not a huge loss, but if you are a new player and would have played other books for diamonds, it is a loss of hundreds of diamonds.
3). The daily reward system rolling out for everyone is a good thing. I used to have two different daily reward systems. I had the 5 diamonds once a day on my iPad and an ad every 3 hours on my phone. I much preferred the 5 diamonds once a day system, even though I could theoretically get more diamonds on my phone, because it is easier to remember to check in once a day instead of every 3 hours.
I think this is a good thing, assuming it works properly, I think this is a great incentive for players to check in daily and 35 free diamonds a week on top of playing new chapters and ads is pretty good.
Overall I do think it is good that Choices is making the changes universal, instead of different players having different experiences. I do think that these changes negatively impact new players more, which is interesting, and I am not sure what that means. But as someone who has been playing for 2 years, I am only marginally effected by the changes and it wonāt change my playing style (except meaning I will likely never finish some books on my phone š).
But at the end of the day, you can get about 80-85 diamonds a week if you maximize daily ads and play all the new chapters and that is far, far better than the 5 or so a week that were available when I first started playing. I think they are trying to come up with a system that rewards regular players but also (for the keys at least) tempts people who want to replay to buy keys.
