tell us about keyboards, bro
this is based on my friend here ( @commandermeouch ) ‘s post about guitars
My top 3 are:
The Yamaha PSR-E223 (had one since I was 11, and has a lot of effects, but not a lot of customization, like there’s no arpeggiator, no modification of stuff like decay, attack, tone, etc outside of straight up reverb, a good learning keyboard though, and has MIDI connections, which I’m trying to hook up to my compy).
The KORG MicroKORG-S (My latest venture into KORG brand stuff after my meltdown from the RK-100S coming off production after saying it would come back in stock in September for months, this little guy is a super portable analog keyboard (but does have MIDI connections) with much more modification than it’s predecessor (non S Version), and (this was in the original) a Vocoder, with an included mic which you can replace; it’s worth the $500 price tag, I hope to get it within the next few months).
The Novation LaunchkeyMini (what I currently use for DAW programs like Ableton and etc (comes with a Lite version of Ableton btw) and is imo a really good starter MIDI keyboard, cause it has 16 pads for drum kits and sequencing different instruments or for samples, and 8 physical turn knobs for modifying parameters in the program it’s controlling. Also it’s price point makes it *very* accesible, it’s only $100).
