Buckythorn and Keyclaw of SkyClan
Bucky and Key were two peas in a pod ever since they were taken from the Holding Place by their housefolks. As kittens they were placed together after both being brought in on their own. Loxy became their mother of sorts in the Holding Place and raised the two until they were big enough for a home.
Bucky was always a hostile sort, not liking their housefolk for a long time. It was only to protect Key that he stayed, or so he told himself. Key was always adventurous, wanting to do and see everything, which led her outside the garden, with Bucky as her loyal guardian.
Into the woods the two went, until they came across a large group of cats. Key, overenthusiastic and lacking basic boundaries, bounded forward to greet their new ‘friends’. Mousehop, Lochheart, and Stagwing were all surprised by the kit’s friendliness, and despite Lochheart’s protests, Mousehop offered to explain the Clans and show them the camp.
After a day of touring, Bucky finally convinced Key to go home to their housefolks, but as night fell both were enamored by dreams of the forest. Key woke up excited, wanting desperately to go to the Clans, and Bucky, her loyal guardian, followed.
The first moon was rough on Bucky; He was chosen to be apprenticed under the deputy, Brittlemint and she had very high expectations, despite his kittypet roots. While he didn’t struggle, he and Keypaw were far behind the other apprentice their age, Yarrowpaw, and Brittlemint expected quick improvement which Bucky felt he simply couldn’t deliver. He hated clan life at first, and longed for his soft bed in his housefolk’s home, but he simply couldn’t leave Keypaw.
Keypaw discovered clan life was much harder than a simple adventure in the woods and struggled with hunting in the trees due to her soft paws and short legs. She tried and tried at hunting but simply found she couldn’t keep up. Fighting is surprisingly where she excellent. Her mentor, Mottledjay, was meant to balance out her excitability but she found it hard to excel under such strict rules.
By the time their made warriors, Yarrowbite, Keyclaw, and Buckythorn are thick as thieves, and both of the kittypet-born clanmembers have adjusted.
Keyclaw is a white furred flame point siamese with green eyes.
Buckythorn is a grey-brown tabby tom with amber eyes.
