Prospecting: Clients
On the first class (february 9th) we saw about the basics of consulting, starting with the prospect clients.
The topic is divided into: 1. Key elements to consider, 2. Selection, 3. Methodology and 4. Problem Map.
This steps might seem easy, but they are very important and need to be carefully solved. What need do you want to cover? Who will be benefited? How can you approach those clientes? These are some of the questions you find in the first step.
Later on, in the selection, you have to consider the location, organization philosophy, capability from both parties, among other things. Here, as a team, we troubled selecting the client until we reached to the perfect candidate: an online store of personlized bottles! (pretty cool, huh? follow them on instagram: @ninetowinemx)
I will pass on methodology, since we didn’t saw in detail that part. But, for the problem map, you have to understand what do you know, what are the assumptions and limitations.
I enjoyed the activity, it gave us the opportunity to actually realized that we are capable to change and re-orginazed a business.
But, what about music? Well, how do a band gets formed? you can’t admit anyone; each integrant is essential and have unique qualities. That’s why everyband is different, they attend different styles (needs) and have their own methodology on how to create their music.
