First part in my quest to give personalities to the unnamed keykid NPCs in khux! I call these guys "Player's toxic first party". A bunch of relatively new-ish wielders trying to find their place in Daybreak Town, but none of them really have what it takes to be "exceptional". None of them are really friends and are only in the party for conveniences sake.
The first three- Rantaro, Cosmos, and Posh- are also the three keykids seen in a later cutscene where they go off to fight heartless with Player, but then go MIA. I'm pretty sure it's implied they become those three darklings that keep showing up, but maybe not. That's how I've been seeing it anyway.
Their obsession with power and coming out on top made them toxic and just unpleasant to be around. But it was all for nothing considering- at least according to Nightmare Chirithy- they were never all that strong in the first place.
Anyway, after these three vanished, the party just kind of fell apart on it's own.

Tbh I completely understand why MoM used the unions as a way to create meaningless mass conflict among keyblade wielders in order to perpetuate the Keyblade War bc tbh. If i was a keyblade wielder in Anguis and I saw Vulpes getting first in the rankings every week due to their sheer size and not even bc they were "better wielders" I would also start wanting to attack those smug assholes on sight.
