Anye sighed to herself ran her hand through her hair. This year was suppose to be better but she’d already put her foot in it. It sucked. She wished she could go back in time and slap her past self before she made a stupid decision.
She’d never really had regrets before, a being that was immortal couldn’t afford to spend an eternity wishing they hadn’t done something but this was like a knife to her chest. It was all she could really think about, all she wanted to do was make it right.
But she said she’d keep her distance. She’d just have to wait for Sam to come around and talk to her again—which was painful.
“Thank you.” She murmured, reaching out to take the cup of tea from the server of the coffee shop. She took a small sip and wrinkled her nose before going over to the stand to add some milk and sugar.
Right now however, she had to catch up with her studies before she fell behind and became more of a disappointment, best head to the library and start on that paper that was overdue.
With drink in hand Tenanye made her way to the door, unfortunately with her head in the clouds she wasn’t watching where she was going and walked straight into someone as she opened the door—spilling hot tea down the both of them.
“Oh bollocks, sorry.” She hissed, jumping back and patting at her dress, trying to soothe the sting against her skin.
Chin lifted, Grace made her way down the sun dapple streets of the island. Violet eyes were very aware of her surroundings, posture was impeccable, arms swinging casually but not in a sloppy way. Ruby lips graced those she knew with a smile, the vampiress the very picture of effortless confidence. This was much more like it..
Ever since that ridiculous spell during New Year’s, when she had somehow been reduced to a simpering mess of insecurities, Grace had found it necessary to make certain that everyone knew she was quite back to normal, thank you very much. Was she trying too hard? Perhaps. But that was slightly more favorable than anyone thinking that her body actually possessed a self-conscious bone.
Destination in sight, she quickened her steps just slightly. Grace had decided to indulge in her cravings, and ordered a box of specialty blood-filled truffles from the bakery. The wolf owner had of course been over-accommodating when she had requested a rare blood. ‘No’ did not seemed to be in the woman’s vocabulary, and bossing her around had only helped in getting more of her old self back.
Reaching for the door at the same time as it was opened, the brunette jumped back as she was suddenly slammed into, and hot tea spilled down her front. Seeping into her fine vintage Givenchy dress. A hiss left her, eyes spitting amethyst fire as she looked up, ready to lay into whoever had been so clumsy. When she saw who it was though, her anger evaporated.
“Tenanye? Are you quite alright dear?”
