How would a yandere Lexaeus react if his darling genuinely reciprocated his feelings? What would he feel if she confessed her love to him and how happy she is to have him?
I imagine this going one of two ways.
1) After the darling is kidnapped and spends a decent amount of time with Lexeaus. They note that he is not hurting them, rarely punishes them and is overall a tender and adoring lover. The darling will probably fall into Stockholm syndrome pretty quickly. Lexaeus will realize this before they confess their feelings, but really he doesn’t care. If his darling is as obsessed with him as he is with them then all’s good. He’ll be truly happy and will put in more effort into the things he does for his darling now that they are thankful and even reciprocate his gestures.
2) Now the second scenario will start off with Lexaeus befriend his beloved first. He’ll still obsess over them. Getting to know every little thing about them, favorite places to go, favorite color, favorite foods, etc. Their darling however will see all of this as just a normal relationship and is none the wiser that it just isn’t. Eventually Lexaeus will start giving his darling small gifts. Like the necklace they where admiring from the store window, or the new shoes they couldn’t afford. All these little gestures will cause his darling to start to fall in love with him. So there is no need for a kidnapping or anything they just come along where ever Lexaeus tells them to. In the end, it’s a mutuel romantic relationship. The twist is that his darling just can’t leave the castal or talk to any one else but that’s okay they have Lexeaus and thus have no need for any other form of social contact.
Over all in both scenarios Lexaeus is both thrilled and releaved. You love just as much as he loves you. Sure he still technically doesn't have a ♡ but with you he truly start to feel emotions.
