3. What was the first thing you decided on, the character’s name, appearance, personality or their role in the story? 4. And reverse, which one of the four things did you struggle with the most?
Since he was based on my interpretation of Hamlet, his appearance and personality came first! I decided on his name pretty easily as well (fun fact: it used to sound more Danish). Working on his stories is the difficult part, since I'd like to write some about him but he doesn't want to be the main character of anything. He insists I should "give the protagonist trauma" to someone else.
18. Does the character have other characters connected to them? Do you have a family tree and “offscreen” connections made up for them or do they exist in a vacuum purely for the purpose of the story?
He's got plenty of connections despite being intensely introverted HAHA
When not by himself (which is majority of the time), he's usually spotted hanging out with Andy and Ray. They (along with Ollie) met during a college production of Hamlet and have been inseparable since.
He inherited his medium awareness powers from his mother's side, but his mother and uncle don't have them. Aziz, like his grandson, continues to panel jump/teleport to places he shouldn't be.
His parents divorced when he was young, so he spent most of his teen years with his dad. David was there when his father was crushed to death by debris from a collapsed overpass.
Nick doesn't have genuine beef with David. The latter is just exceedingly insecure and jealous.
Casey and his gamer friends call David "kuya"/older brother.
Ollie and David seem like polar opposites but have more in common with each other than people think.
David often acts distant and indifferent, but he cares more about these folks than he'd like to admit! ⁽ʸᵉˢ ᵉᵛᵉⁿ ᴺᶦᶜᵏ⁾
