From an early age, Khalil knew that he wanted to help people. In such a big city he couldn’t help but feel sorry for some of the less fortunate people he saw. As a child, he knew he couldn’t do much to help them, but he wished he could. At school, he always went out of his way to befriend the kids who were seen as outcasts or loners. He was the kid who always gave out invitations to everyone in the class when it came to his birthday parties, even if not everyone came. He didn’t want anyone to feel left out or unwanted, so everyone always received an invite.
