KHAND REGIONS GRAPHICS - [XIV] Itakh-Khand Itakh-Khand encomprised the hilly grounds north of Lûrmsakun between the Medlóshad Peka (Var."Goldhorse River") and the Noz Peka (Var. "Knife River").
Lake Ata is part of this region, being the greatest lake of sweetwater in Khand, fed by numerous of small rivers coming from the Eastern mountains of Khand, and was considreded holy by the Variags.It was the source of the river Medlóshad Peka and Noz Peka.
At the confluence of Noz Peka and Medlóshad Peka stood Sturlurtsa Khand, the traditional capital of Lower Khand and the largest city between Umbar and the Talathrant, with gigantic markets and spectacular palaces and monuments.The first Variag capital had been Ammû Khand but during the 720s, the variags transferred their capital.
