With its unique bio-diversity and landscape of open grasslands, Khaptad lake, 567 floral species -135 flower species of the grasslands and 224 species of medicinal herbs, 287 species of birds and 23 mammal species, it offers you an absolute remote wilderness experience along with its own religious significance (Khaptad baba’s home, who meditated for 50 years) and amazing views of The Api and Saipal mountain ranges.

Rara is a myth turned reality with mystery still surrounding on how such a vast expanse of water body came to be in such a remote, alpine location. The tranquil lake reflecting on its surface, the snow-capped mountains and pine forests that it is surrounded by, is a sight to behold! Also, explore the remote mountain villages and its tribal people, culture which have hardly seen any tourists.

Khaptad National Park 

The Khaptad Trek is a popular trekking route in Nepal that takes you through the Khaptad National Park. The trek typically starts in the village of Silgadhi and takes you through a variety of landscapes, including forests, grasslands, and wetlands. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to see a wide range of plant and animal species, including the leopard, and black bear. The trek also passes through several traditional villages, giving you a chance to learn about the culture and way of life of the local people. The trek can take anywhere from a week to 10 days, depending on your itinerary and the route you choose. It's a moderate trek with high altitude, good for adventure and nature lover.
