ACTIVE ART THIEF - Kharma Shade.

so, in a post i made addressing another situation, i had included this image album of confronting her on a two lines closely mirroring my own trp. her art album has updated after our confrontation, and Kharma Shade (Kharma-MoonGuard) is an active art thief who sends my commissions to artists to be redrawn. she even tried to commission me, and has scammed an artist by commissioning them, then not paying for the piece. it should be noted that the artists are also guilty, as they’ve copied another artist’s work.

as the artist Aoleev has not posted this image publicly, i have no date confirmation. however, it appeared in Kharma’s imgur link at the same time as the other copied piece. i hope the first piece is proof enough that this is also a redraw. [[EDIT: i messaged Aoleev and got confirmation that my artwork was sent as the reference.]]

and there are likely more on the way, since she reached out to try and commission me.

now, for the other things!

[[EDIT: Kharma explained this situation and it is false-- she is NOT a scammer. i want to leave the original part here for transparency's sake, but in an apology, she has cleared this up. i apologize for not having validated this with her; my mistake.]] Kharma is a scammer! in the reviews on her artistsnclients account (see the archive of the first piece to confirm this is her account), it is said that she did not end up paying for finished artwork. i do not know what piece it is, but, the artist had finished it.

she very likely lied about never seeing me before, since she knew me back when i went by the screenname Martyr, as she tried to commission me. my artistsnclients is Martyr and uses images of Mystearine as the thumbnail. i highly doubt that this is a coincidence. my listing is old and has never been used, as all of my commissions are done via twitter and discord.

it isn’t unfair to assume the plagiarism that started this was, indeed, plagiarism, now that my art has been ripped off too. her rpfind.me account from April 2019 has a description even closer to my description of Mystearine, as well as Raenyste, and these trps have not been active for about a year and a half to two years. mystearine’s and raenyste’s and trps compared to kharma’s rpfind.me | current trp | rpfind archive. in the two copied art pieces, she even changed her eye color to match mine...as if getting redraws of my commissions wasn’t enough.

so basically...

i don’t know if Kharma is having my character art copied to get back at me for confronting her about the aforementioned plagiarism, but this has got to stop. i haven’t felt so violated by anyone on wow for a very, very long time. i feel so viscerally uncomfortable in this situation, as not only am i ripped off, but also the artists who drew my commissions and had them copied.

i had found of all of this as i was attempting to find Kharma’s tumblr to apologize to her about freaking out over two lines, but, her art album popped up on the google search, and i guess my paranoia has been proven valid. this is not just a little snippet of my writing taken and altered, or a similar hairstyle. there is a point where having similar ideas or inspiration is not a passable excuse; especially when it affects more people than just myself.

i know Kharma has her many alts listed in an ooc trp, but, i regrettably did not screenshot that and cannot find it again. if anyone has it, please send it to me to add to this post.

please, do not harass anyone mentioned in this post.

Active Art Thief 2.0 - KHARMA SHADE

I apologize ahead of time as I know this isn't a usual topic or post I would like to normally discuss, but I am left no choice as this has been plaguing me for nearly a year at this point.

It has come to my attention that the known art thief that went by the name of 'Kharma Shade' on MG-A and now possibly WrA-H has struck once again. I would love to say for myself it is the first time but sadly this is not true. Not only have they taken a commissioned art piece of mine to be replicated, but recently it was brought to my attention they are now using my own personal artwork of the same OC, as well as other commissions. The previous offense I had wished to take the more private route and personally discuss this issue with her at hand, and eventually we seemed to come to a fairly warm conclusion where I had forgiven the issue and gave the advice that if she was to use artwork or feel inspired by certain OC designs/backgrounds then permission was needed to be asked first and that she was more than welcome to come to me about it. They agreed and eventually later down the line I felt comfortable enough for her to commission me. I did not have the intention to ever bring this issue up, but now that she has made other offense which includes taking and using my actual personal art I made of my OC without my permission, replicating newer pieces from commissions without having asked for permission of myself or the artist, as well as creative theft that revolve around specific descriptors, lines, and motifs that have become quintessential to my OC'S identity. Despite consistently being confronted by this very issue, it is too much for me to keep quiet and I now I have to speak out.

Her paying other artists to replicate another's work is unethical and unfair to those that work hard to create these original pieces of work, and even the commissioners that provide such unique and brilliant ideas. This could easily paint an innocent artist in the wrong light, labeling them as the copier or thief.

While I admit, I entirely understand and appreciate that people and OCs can and do share common interests such as aesthetics, appearances, etc, and that I do not claim to own anything; people are allowed to change those designs and motifs as they wish, too. I am friends with people and love to meet them so that we may bounce ideas off of each other, but in my opinion this situation is different. I just ask that you take note of the drastic changes her OC has made in comparison to where and who she originally was to who she is now.

Unfortunately I have little information on any additional handles and usernames she may use, outside of a Twitter 'cthuwuu' or 'joeypqcey', & her Tumblr 'elysian-stargazer'. Any names she may go by in game/TRP could be anywhere from Kharma, Kharma Shade, or Carnissa Amoret. If anybody has any additional information to other aliases she may go by or social media handles I would appreciate anybody letting me know so that I can thoroughly block and avoid their presence. It is sad to know there are potentially others that have been effected by this, and her 'creativity' is almost built on consistent thievery and lies from potentially a multitude of victims.
