ㅤㅤTHE TWO OF them decided to make themselves perfectly comfortable. jesper's never been a rooftop person, at least not in comparison to inej, but he can admit there's a certain sort of allure seeing the city stretch out before them, like it's theirs for the taking. especially now, with the sun spilling across the distant docks, all fire and glittering heat. maybe he does need to spend more time up here.

ㅤㅤmaybe it's the company. jesper could believe that, too, actually. he chances a look towards kenzi by his side. he's a bit surprised to see them looking back at him, the faintest reflection of the sun catching in their eyes. their mouth is parted; she's smiling, and jesper can see the edges of her teeth.

ㅤㅤit's endearing. jesper flashes her own smile. " see something you like? " she says, nudging them with her shoulder. " 'sides the sunset and me, of course. what, is it the spread of food? i didn't quite think it was that decadent. "

ㅤㅤsaints, their laugh is something else. jesper's now almost shoulder - to - shoulder with kenzi, and it means they can feel it vibrate through her body. she turns her head towards his, still laughing, still giggling, the fading sunlight spilling across her skin.

ㅤㅤand just when her nose near bumps against jesper's, there's a beat. a pause, a heartbeat, and suddenly jesper's mind turns away from the sun and fully towards who is by their side. he decides to do the thing he always does: follow the instinct, follow the urge.

ㅤㅤbut she goes slow. jesper tilts her head into it, leans up enough that it's clear, but leaves the scarcest bit of space. kenzi's eyes glitter with the sun and perhaps the want of something else entirely. she's still smiling. jesper wants to kiss it off. she's waiting for him to, it looks like.

ㅤㅤthey can feel the sun on their chest, its rays fanning over the skin of their torso, their well - worn hands. but everything goes warmer when khenzi lifts her hands to their face, cusps jesper's jaw in their palms, and pulls him up the last millimeter. they're still smiling when they press their lips to his, like they can't stop. jesper can feel it, right alongside all of the warmth.

LMAOOO not the randomiser giving me bry for kenzi... she is also feral but /neg and doesn't know how to cope at all with supernatural stuff. in that case kenzi could be helpful in getting her to adjust and getting her to accept her mediumship abilities. you might just have to be careful because she can be a bit paranoid and stabby.

she has the perfect brand of chaos that kenzi would vibe with,,,, i can see heather visiting their tattoo studio and offering to ward the place after an appointment. no guarantees on how long it will last but it's the thought that counts xo

this is the one that requires a bit of manuevering because jesse rarely leaves the oldest house but they could meet while she's still looking for her brother dylan. jesse really just needs friends that are extradimensional beings that have been with her since she was a child.
