The attractions of Kongma, 3650m, a spot on the map with two tea-houses, enroute Makalu basecamp. The mornings are dreamy. The inhabitants are few, but friendly. I have a hunch that kid is Buddha's next avatar.
A grueling climb (900m ascent in the day) gets one here, and one exits in anticipation of 3 mountain passes.
