Hmm more yaoi, more eyesore art hmmmmmm 💢💢💢 I love them they make me terminally ill @kokii-omii
He can't handle allat!!!
Also completely random but why do I only have motivation when I have school, 14 missing assignments, unfinished homework and pages to study but never when I have 3 fuckass months of vacation
Boy oh boy do I love a healthy daily dose of doomed vampire yaoi!!! @kokii-omii this can also be interpreted as KrohnEz yuri if you wish, a win is a win
Bonus Krohn doodle, I feel like he (and Kalim) would have the teruhashi glow but not because they're the "pretty perfect boys" they're just THAT joyful and whimsical, flowers bloom whenever they pass by
Also don't ask why it tags this as "adult content" idk either 💔
@kokii-omii ik I already made two essays connecting KrohnEz and lower one's eyes and I have more. The first one was general, the second was about the MV and this time it's about the lyrics (english translation) and overall conclusions. I may be delusional but god forbid a man wants to enjoy his yaoi to the fullest.
And I WILL be analysing every single lyric so buckle up @meiko940 (had to tag u too pookie cuz ik u love my lengthy yaps mwah)
This is either a single part or part 1 if Tumblr has a word limit per post I don't know about yet, so if it possibly ends abruptly that's why idk man. I also got the translation from tiktok so it may not be completely accurate but the meaning stays the same.
------
« It was a simple prayer from the beginning, little by little admiration disappears. » - this is the first verse of the song. It's a bit vague imo but I think it fits how Krohn always saw Ezmond as a counting source of inspiration (South park ref lmao), but when he told him about his plan on killing the emperor, he only agreed because of his naivety, even if it wasn't right in his eyes. In this context the admiration could even be Krohn's own moral standards, which he at the time pushed down to please Ezmond.
Whereas the prayer in this lyric is more symbolic, in my interpretation I find it connects well to Ezmond's own wishes to be a scientist in the future and not be the emperor's advisor for the rest of his life, which he cannot simply refuse as it is an order from the king, and the fact he can't be free is why he despises the emperor and children in general so much, "admiration disappears" also parallels his own dreams disappearing from being stuck in this role.
« Henceforth, the curtain will be lifted. Later, to the quiet venue, I'll say goodbye. » - Now this one is also mostly up for interpretation, and mine is that the curtain that lifts up is Ezmond's last straw, leading him to his inevitable overblot—because even if he had been removed from his situation and allowed to be a scientist, he still has a lot of shit going on at home, so it's less likely but still possible that he would've overblotted. "Later to the quiet venue I'll say goodbye", I find that this line mirrors Krohn more—the quiet venue is probably the "old" Ezmond before the blot started accumulating drastically, causing him to be more demanding and rude, and Krohn has to say goodbye to the Ezmond he knew. When this happens it's only natural that you stop recognising that person even if you still love them.
These two verses make up the intro, which I find perfect because it's also a general (but kinda complex) introduction to what makes KrohnEz more complex than it seems. The rest is below ↓
« The things I'm about to say disappear one by one, then come up again, the guilt I carry on my back still remains. » - This one applies more to Krohn. Like I said before, deep in his heart Krohn wanted to stop Ezmond's plan, but either he didn't have the courage to, or he felt like pleasing Ezmond was his priority at the moment. It's very likely that he only admits to never actually agreeing with Ezmond's plan either seconds before his overblot, or while he's overblotting, words that disappeared but came back up last second.
For the guilt part, it kinda applies to both of them—Krohn feels guilty because he indirectly caused Ezmond to overblot, which could have killed or severely injured not only him, but also Reese and V*ri. (Their names aren't coloured cuz this isn't about them), but also applies to Ezmond, who post ob, immediately realizes why he was in the wrong (like all the other overblotters), and a headcanon I have is that guilt is a severely heavy feeling that haunts someone after an overblot so it may not be canon but imo it's realistic.
« I put all my effort into spitting the feelings my heart wants to obey, the dregs deep inside my heart have corrupted me. » - This one is still about Krohn suppressing his true feelings, I don't think I have to repeat it but I feel like it's a sign to how KrohnEz coded the entire song is. The part "the dregs deep inside my heart have corrupted me" heavily fits Ezmond, because the blot and negative feelings were effectively corrupting him, pushing him to do evil things, but also how Krohn was "corrupted" by Ezmond's plan, and what could've happened if Alfred didn't step in.
« Even when I take responsibility and face the things I want to alone, the things I have been protecting are out of my control. » - Krohn couldn't have faced Ezmond's overblot alone, not only because he was blindly trusting him—even if he "rebelled" on his own, it wouldn't have been enough to make Ezmond overblot, considering he's not as "mean" as V*ri, which would've led to even more negative emotions building up inside of Ezmond and a potentially way worse overblot, possibly even fatal. I HATE to admit it, but it shows how important the octaquartet is in this arc (mainly cuz I have beef w Viri but shhh)
Meanwhile, "the things I have been protecting are out of my control" refers to how Ezmond was convinced the whole plan was a secret between him and Krohn where he was in control, but he never was, because the octaquartet knew all along.
« My burning, dried up throat is filling with a faint voice, I don't know what to say. » - Now this one can also be both interpreted kinda literally and metaphorically—literally as in Ezmond's body being filled by the blot and accumulated negative feelings, which he's probably been carrying for years, and metaphorically as in all the mean things he said to Krohn when he "accidentally" dropped the poison—and yes, Krohn forgave him and knew Ezmond wasn't exactly thinking straight at the moment, but comments like that can stick to someone for years, if not an eternity.
« My feelings have been thrown far away, it's the same but also different, somewhat different. » - Now this one is more about V*ri and Ezmond, when V*ri voluntarily helped Ezmond with his overblot, it was because he saw himself in him—their struggles were very different, yet so similar, despite their rivalry they have a lot more in common than they think.
However THIS IS NOT ABOUT HIM V*ri get out/hj, so I'll explain how it also connects to Krohn and Ezmond, because the ship dynamic is clearly opposites attract, but when we try to give them strict roles based on the witch and the maid in the lower one's eyes MV we find that it's impossible, because the maid and the witch mirror both Krohn and Ezmond—it shows how much in common they have, despite it not being obvious. A good example is how both admired the other—Ezmond was a prime source of inspiration for Krohn, since they became friends when Ezmond saved him from bullies, but also how Krohn didn't hesitate to forgive Ezmond after his overblot when he was hysterical, showing he's always there for him no matter what, and how both are extremely important in each other's life, a weigh that can't be removed without causing damage.
« How long will I go? How far can I go? What do you think of when in doubt? » - This line can be mirrored into how Ezmond was pushing his own limits, but also Krohn's in the meantime. Idk if an overblot can be anticipated and if Ezmond knew he was going to overblot, or if it just hit him without him even realising it, but either way an overblot happens when someone is pushed, or pushes themselves too far. This one hasn't been confirmed by Komi yet, but I like to think that at some point during Ezmond's overblot, Krohn went against his better (and naive) judgement, and started trying to knock some sense into Ezmond's head, not aggressively but still firmly to make him see he was in the wrong. This was a non violent result of his own limits being pushed, again, very similar but different to Ezmond's reaction.
However, a more realistic outcome was that Krohn's limits were already pushed when Ezmond started calling him every name under the sun, it wasn't visible on the outside but inside he was most likely heartbroken, considering the very cruel things Ezmond said.
------
« Even if we're separated, even if we get lost, in times like those, I wish for us to connect again and again. » - Again, this one is pretty obvious—despite everything Krohn and Ezmond have been through, they still remain best friends through it all, completely inseparable like magnets. (Magnet art maybe coming soon 😳😳😳) Not only because they were able to survive Ezmond's overblot, but because they both mutually wanted to be connected forever.
« If you stay here with me, if you can't let go, we'll be saved by the feelings that nobody knows. » - Same as the previous one, this one is about Ezmond's overblot, which no one outside of them, the octaquartet and Vil know about, and how it only strengthened their connection despite the struggles in the way, as well as working as a silent promise that (my interpretation), if something is wrong they'll immediately tell the other.
This one is the chorus/refrain, so if it appears again within the song I won't repeat it to save space, but also because it'd be unnecessary.
------
« Peace is replaced by built up exhaustion, the reality isn't much different. » - While Krohn was obviously very eager to stay by Ezmond's side and be his loyal dog, at some point I feel like it had to be at LEAST kinda exhausting, even with Krohn being the angel he is. But it kindaaa suits Ezmond more—his overblot building up was clearly exhausting him, and he probably felt burnt out for a while after his overblot too.
« Pleasure becomes a lie, "before it starts, should we get out of here?" » - This one, "pleasure becomes a lie", is a reference to how after being caught by Alfred, Krohn started messing up every other attempt Ezmond had to kill the prince before dropping the poison. Ezmond believed Krohn was still on his side when he wasn't, which in Ezmond's eyes was betrayal—a topic that is extremely relevant in lower one's eyes.
"Before it starts, should we get out of here?" It is kinda vague, but works as an invitation—before his ob, Ezmond wanted Krohn to help him get out of the position as the emperor's advisor, even if it's with harsh methods, so it doesn't start his overblot—it's what Ezmond believed, but it probably would've happened anyways.
« Muttering the same, the same fine wish for all » - Both Krohn and Ezmond had the same wish, which was a "happy" ending, even if both imagined it differently—Ezmond's idea of a happy ending was him eventually killing the prince, and gaining back his freedom to become a scientist (and possibly world domination), whereas Krohn's idea of a happy ending was his was Ezmond staying regardless, considering he was cowardly enough to follow his deranged plan, that or Ezmond somehow realising he was in the wrong without overblotting (because Krohn probably didn't think he'd genuinely ob) and finds another way and they go on living their happy yaoi life.
But it's also a reference to the first line—the simple prayer and the wish were the same for Ezmond, overall just freedom.
« From where did I hear it? Did I miss something? These doubts keep me from moving on. » - Again, this line is a reference to the previous line—the faint voice. In this context, the faint voice is also the deranged thoughts in Ezmond's head to kill the emperor, because no sane person would attempt child murder. Meanwhile, the second part of this verse refers to Krohn, where the "doubts" are his own moral standards which he tried to push down to please Ezmond and obey the plan, but he knew that it was still wrong, and the reason he resisted wasn't only because of Alfred, but because you can't push down your own morals.
However, the doubts can also apply to Ezmond—even if he had never gotten the role as the emperor's advisor, his grandpa, his only family, was still old and could die any second, possibly before seeing his own grandson succeed. These doubts would've still held him back and possibly even cause him to overblot anyways (which is unlikely, because iirc Cr*wley explained that an ob is extremely rare)
------
« Even if we get tired, even if we don't exist anymore, in times like those, I wish for us to escape again and again. » - This is just the same as the verse in the first refrain, worded differently. That no matter what happens, they'll always be together, even if they die. (Together in deathhhh🎵💔)
« Wishing to protect my heart, wishing that it won't be snatched away, entrust it to each other, entrust your body to me! » - This one goes to explain their relationship to a more intimate, soulmate-like level. Krohn and Ezmond trusted each other explicitly before the ob and they still do, when Ezmond's overblot was over and he started crying, Krohn immediately went to hug him, because he trusted Ezmond wouldn't push him away or hurt him or himself more, he knew Ezmond needed him most in that moment. And Ezmond trusted Krohn to not leave.
------
« Crying with you, laughing with you, getting angry with you. Singing with you, dancing with you, laughing with you. » - Again, this line talks about all the obstacles in their relationship, what they went through together and survived.
« How long will I last, while muttering, "is it the same, the same thing?" » - I'm kinda unsure about this translation but it's wtv cuz the meaning stays the same. In the song, the word "same" seems to be very prominent, and kinda repeated in the pre chorus. This can be connected not only to the previous connections I had made, but also to how their relationship had changed after Ezmond's ob (I'm assuming, taking in game context from other obs)—definitely healthier than before, and more open to communication, which is fundamental for any relationship and friendship. It wasn't the same, it was different, but in a good way for both of them.
« These feelings etched into my memory that I can't seem to forget, I wonder just for how long I will still remember them. » - This can be connected to Ezmond both before and after his ob—before his overblot, like I said many times, he was filled with negative emotions and blot accumulating, just like every other character who has overblotted. But also after his ob, it's very likely that some of these negative emotions still remained stuck to him, because an overblot must be very traumatising for obvious reasons.
------
Now the part before this line is the same as the first chorus, so I won't repeat obviously.
« I'll define my whole life by the feeling that nobody knows, and I'll make it right. » - This is the last line, and I think it's beautiful, because it can be connected to after Ezmond's ob, after everything they went through, almost like a closing line to the entire arc. After his overblot, he changes as a person—still a brat, but less evil now, and overall improving morally. In the end, he managed to ask the king to remove him from the advisor role, and we still don't know if he DOES end up being removed or just accepts it in the end, but him and Krohn still managed to make things right in the end.

Most of this info happened between me and Komi under one of her comment sections the thing was like 35 comments long bro 💔 but yeah this is my final reasoning as to why I have the conspiracy theory that either Komi KNEW what she was doing when making KrohnEz, or Nulut (creator of lower) just predicted it
More yaoi art for oomfie @kokii-omii (and myself hehehehehsggekejatdg) because why not? Also the entire drawing is up for interpretation there's no concrete meaning or smth. I even included a small note in my native language, i got bored also Tumblr slimed tf out of the quality again, send email if u want better quality ig 💔
I'm so proud of this one also someone pls kill me I hate typing on tablet 💔💔💔💔
