The heart killers series is great but one thing I didn't like is how they didn't give more us on fadel and bison relationship their relationship seemed so onesided with fadel putting all the efforts and bison either ignoring fadel or doing his own thing similarly I didn't like how the series not once show kant and babe relationship more than babe giving love advice to kant they could have shown us a flashback of babe nearly being taken away from kant or kant struggling to take care of him since babe was only a toddler when their parents died

So, I've had so many conversations about this exact thing on discord servers, and even made a couple posts on here about it, but yeah, I agree. And bear with me, because I may go all over the place lol so sorry, but I have a lot to say. (And none of it means I hate the show. I still enjoy it overall. If I didn't, I wouldn't have 15 fanfics and counting about it)

First, this show would have truly benefitted from either having more episodes (at LEAST 16) or having two seasons. Because here's the thing. The reason why many of us have stuck around for this show is because of the characters. Like they did a good job making us fall in love with them!! I have suspended my disbelief for most of the things I have beef with, solely because I love Fadel. Like I love Fadel so fucking much, guys. (I love Style and the other characters too, but this man just snatched my soul, ok?)

And can you imagine how much MORE we would have loved them if we were given more fleshed out back stories and character development? And how much more we would have loved Fadel and Bison if we were shown a few flashbacks of their years together? Or even have them share more scenes together? To really cement their bond????

And don't get me started on Kant, ok? Because everyone knows by now that I had mad beef with him. I don't hate him, but I was salty up until probably episode 10 lmao BUT I think I wouldn't have been so mad if they would have shown his struggle more. If they would have shown more of his shady past with Captain Chris (b/c that man is shady AF you guys!) I also would have felt more for him if we were given significant scenes with him and Babe, or shown flashbacks of him taking care of him or him being in lock up and freaking out over what is happening to his brother. I would have been more sympathetic to his plight if I were given more time to feel for him. (but alas, he came off as kind of a dick, mostly in regards to Style.)

I also felt that they handled the cop situation horribly, and even the Khun Lily situation horribly. So many things in this show were super fucking rushed so it just wasn't believable. Everything just miraculously worked out in one episode with barely any planning involved. Like, sure. We got the bad guy, but we didn't even see her put in handcuffs. Like Fadel and Bison could have slipped away and been long gone if they had shown the cops arresting Lily, or a montage of them arresting her and many of her other goons. (and I am not saying that because I'm mad about them going to jail. I actually don't mind it, but I still don't think it was done properly!!!)

And we don't even have a real reference for how much time has passed since they all met for the first time. My gut is saying MONTHS, because how else did Cap expect Kant to find info. In a week? hahahhaahha No, Fuck you, sir. There would be absolutely no way the cops could have expected Kant to gain access to information within a month. That is just stupid. And someone like Fadel wouldn't have caved so quickly with Style in just a week. Hell no. It would have had to be longer in order for Fadel to even start missing him when he didn't show up lmao So, in my head canon, in a believable timeline, Style carefully stalked him for at least three weeks (and not every single day at first...just leading up to it being daily) before Fadel really got super annoyed and then the storage room happened lol.

Stretched out timelines would make things more believable, in my humble opinion. Even the back and forth with Bison and Kant, because Kant also has a day job. He can't just run around chasing Bison every single day. (and neither can Style for that matter. And also, Fadel runs a DINER!!! They need a better timeline!!! lol)

But anyways, moving on!!

I also don't mind Fadel's ex and that storyline, but I would have also wanted it to be more fleshed out and maybe have it not be a two year relationship. A year would have sufficed. I would have also liked to see more of Khun Lily's manipulation of the boys. I wanted to see how she fucked with their heads and made them the way they are. I would have liked to see more of Fadel protecting Bison from her. Or protecting him from the emotions of what they are doing. I would have loved to see more of their dynamic in general.

I also would have liked to see them all use some more common sense and actually sneak around like they know what they are doing, and not behave like complete idiots lol Now, in episode 11, Style DID impress me. I think he did a great job catering to those women and flirting. He did better than Kant lmao. Kant couldn't hide the fear and disgust from his face lmao and Style did. With some help, Style actually would have been a decent spy I think lol because he is smart under his loud over the top behavior. (he uses that as a mask and I like that about his character)

I wanted to see more about Style and Kant's past too, and how they became friends. Because before epi 9, I really felt like their friendship was lacking. Part of me STILL feels like it is lacking, but I am just moving on because I know it's all about the time constraints and I know I have to give things up in order to still enjoy the show. I liked their scene in the bedroom and that made me believe these guys have been super close for years, but before that...nah. (Mostly because of Kant NOT telling Style that Fadel could literally kill him lol)

Overall, I love the characters enough that I can get over most of my gripes, because I know I can fix the things I don't like with fanfiction lmao. (And I also have a lot more gripes than I listed in this meta but it's already getting long...so I'll just end it here lol)

(I could be way off with this and wrong but I’ve been thinking about this a bit.)

My personal theory is that Fadel did look into his ex disappearing. I know they don’t show it on screen explicitly but I believe that since Lilly put a hit on his ex she would have made sure that anywhere Fadel did look that is the conclusion he would come to.

It’s helpful when you’re killing someone sometimes to make it look like they just disappeared of their own volition rather than had something happen to them. How this was done we may never know but since Keen also knows about it and even brought it up to Fadel directly (before revealing he was killed I mean) I think it’s possible they may have had a conversation about it after the fact where this belief was somehow reinforced. Like because Keen deals with the information collection and desk portion of the job the most despite them not getting on he may have provided “proof” of his ex leaving. Maybe it’s part of why Fadel asked why he didn’t tell him?

Lilly also seems pretty set in earlier episodes on the whole “you can’t trust anyone” thing so I don’t doubt that she used this somehow to reinforce that idea in Fadel’s head regardless of if she was also making sure he believed the lie that he had just left him.

Either way unless the show tells us all we have are theories I guess.

Some of the topics in your ask I have just answered in another response lol but I want to answer here too!

A part of me wants to believe that Fadel DID look too. I even said if I had written the show, I would have had him do that. Even if it was secretly, and I would have had him slowly realizing that Khun Lily put a hit on him and then he would start questioning everything about her and her relationship with them all. Because there have been a couple of times in the show that Fadel looks like he is suspicious of her and acting in a protective manner towards Bison. Like in episode 10 when Ruerat tells them that she was the one that killed their parents and Bison is ready to just snap this dude's neck for LYING, Fadel looked like puzzle pieces were falling into place. (yes, the next scene has him kind of trying to back track, but I think that is a normal reaction when you don't want to believe something because it will fuck up your whole world if it's true)

But back to Khun Lily whispering in Fadel's ear. She totally tried to sabotage that whole relationship and when it didn't work, she had him killed. And they probably did a very good clean up job with it too. Like I totally think that if Fadel had looked into his ex's disappearance he would have found something like...oh he was in a terrible accident, or he moved abroad, or whatever else Keen cooked up for it. I fully believe that that could have been something they did. Because if they are actually competent in their jobs as hitman, they would make all these things seem like accidents or that other people did it. And of course this lady has brainwashed these boys from a young age to do her bidding and not question her sooooo

Yeah, those are my thoughts.

And also, the show isn't going to give us any substantial back stories, so we are just going to be stuck with theories and head canons lol
