Day 2: Smile / Royal

“Shall we go, Aguero?” Bam smiles. That smile. Without a second thought, Aguero whips out the fountain pen he tucked in his shirt earlier, angling it towards Bam’s neck. He has no knives on him, but the first rule in the Khun family is to always be prepared— Bam grabs his wrist, the pen nib a centimeter from his throat. “Aguero?” He smiles, and for a moment, Aguero actually feels it, the urge to let go, to go along with whatever Bam says. But then one edge of his lips rises higher, his eyes narrow in a way that can only be a smirk, and the effect fades. “So you really are immune.”

"My mother used to say rain is for washing away one's sins," Khun admits. His reflection is seen briefly in the window. Mixed with the rain, the image is almost holy. He thinks having someone like Khun–beautiful, dedicated, the only beacon left–talk about sins, about the evil of the world, is heretic.

"You think she was right?"

"That rain is some form of a light divine punishment?" They both continue staring at the thunderstorm. The silence falls between them, the rain only becomes more violent, and yet Khun offers enough comfort to shelter him. He reaches out to hold his hand. It's cold. "I'm not sure," –he squeezes his hand, a promise that he's here– "but you already know, don't you?"

Red Rain & White Winter (5 of 7)

Hello!

The first arc of this tale, Red Rain, concludes midway through this chapter. And then we begin the second one, White Winter. Don't worry we're only going through 2 arcs ahaha. Strangely, the first arc was easier to write. It took a lot of hammering to get the second part into shape and make sense but it finally did. I think. Omigosh what are emotions?😭😭😭 I would not wish to taint anyone's eyes with the gibberish that is my first draft ahaha.
