What if Kamisama Kiss was made by Studio Ghibli?

I wanted to combine two of my favorite things, and studying the iconic style for this drawing was so much fun! I really pushed myself to actually paint a background and am really pleased with the way the shrine turned out, even if you can hardly see it in the end result ha!

For free day I'm sharing a drawing I made for the Street Racing AU my wife and I have been fantasizing about!

It started as a joke, 'cause we were laughing about a Fast and Furious/KamiHaji crossover, and quickly became something I'm in love with: a universe where the kamis are closely tied to the underground street racing world and only they and their familiars can drive their cars! High speed chases, dramatic races, hijinks, cobbled together crews of found family, and of course some romance!

Maybe one day you'll find this as a story on AO3, but for now, enjoy this drawing!
