Time does not play much of a factor, do not fret. Thank you very much. Ah, all of these compliments! Are you doing this intentionally? Hah. That would be nice, you are too kind. I do hope to greet you properly in person very soon. And when that happens, I will be more than willing to get some cake and ice cream with you. Well, if our schedules allow it, that is.

[ iN ] if by “this” you mean complementing you, then of course i’m doing it intentionally, and for multiple reasons. 1) it was your birthday & 2) everything that i said is true, so why shouldn’t i say it?

Anyone would get agitated with being told to do something they’re already doing, right? Especially when it seems as if the very source of nagging seems to be failing to see the truth behind the situation, as well as bestow the miraculous gift of “the benefit of a doubt.” His reaction is sure enough to get a rise out of Woobin, especially since Ian snapping happens almost as often as a blue moon. “I already am, and I thought I made that pretty obvious? Why the fuck can’t you just listen and perhaps stop being so damn stubborn and give me a god damn break? I know what I should have done, and I already told you what I’ve attempted to do to make it better. You sitting here and acting like I’m not being a responsible adult about the whole damn situation isn’t fucking helping. If you’re just going to sit here and be an ass, then forget it. I don’t need it, nor do I need a friend like you. You’re either on my side or you’re in my fucking way--pick one.”

He found it ridiculous, kids like those don’t really exist in real life, and so does every stereotypical rich mom. Just around the show’s seventh episode,  Xero found himself at the edge of his seat; anticipating what’s to come next.

Hoya was never one to tell people when he was having a hard time. Relying on others was something he had long ago decided he would simply abstain from doing; he was a kid who had to grow up and realize the viciousness of the world a beat or two too early. Over the years he had learnt that smiling was the easiest lie one could tell, especially when the people around you couldn’t understand, refused to understand you. He preferred to attempt fixing his problems all on his own — quietly, without anyone noticing he was going through a rough time in the first place. 

Which is why he found himself unable to process the things that had been said to him only moments ago, furiously blinking his eyes at the man in front of him. Hoya knew him, of course he did, but they had never really even had a proper talk beyond the usual polite greetings celebrities tended to pass to each other. Not before this, anyway. A furrow was forming on his forehead, and really, no matter how much he tried, he really couldn’t bring himself to form a proper reply to Woobin. 

“H-huh?” It took a moment for Hoya to gather himself, to build up that armor surrounding him once again. His reply afterwards was almost automatic, instinctive: “Ah, don’t worry, I’m fine, really.” Still, there was something about the way Woobin was looking at him that hinted he knew better, that he had perhaps once gone through similar things in his own life. That something made Hoya give in, in the end. 

“How’d you know?”
