In December 1944 Hyundai Motor company founded a company by the name “Korean International Automotive” which is popularly known as KIA, which became the second-largest automobile manufacturing company after Hyundai. The headquarters of KIA is situated in Seoul, South Korea. The Korean word KIA means “To come out of the east”.
