outoftomorrow: I like InuKik, after all they were a thing before hand, even if it was probably for a short time, and I accept that~I can ship that. Though I don’t know if it would have worked in the end anyway…After all wishing on the tama for Inuyasha to be human would not have gotten rid of it like she hoped…So Kikyou’s wish to be just an “ordinary woman” with no such protective responsibilities would have been for naught, and if he’d stayed a hanyou-at that point in time they would have likely been run out of the village…And the tama would still be in existence in that instance too. And then there’s the thought that they might not truly be happy if they’d wound up together. Especially if Inuyasha turned human…He lives to protect, and as a human Kikyou would very likely wind up protecting him more often then not. He would not be cool with that. Plus she’d always be protecting the jewel too, as well as the whole village, she’d probably never be around for much. As a hanyou-Inuyasha’d wind up fighting to protect the tama along side Kikyou, which would be great and all, but here also, there’d be very little time for the two of them to actually make a life together, let alone have fun and smile…And that would put a huge strain on the relationship. So as much as I like InuKik, I kind of feel like it was probably doomed no matter what anyway. So I’m glad that InuKag was end game, and that Kikyou had no regrets in the end. Each party got a better shot at happiness.
