One moment. Everything changed in one moment when the sky went dark, everything looked like the world was slowly growing darker. One moment he'd been walking the streets, then suddenly the world around him darkened and everything changed. It almost looked like Shenron had been summoned at one point and then suddenly he was in a ruined landscape. The world looked so...decayed. Everything looked destroyed. The smell of soot and ash was almost too much, enough to bother him and make his once jovial expression turn sour. That wasn't all, a large amount of ki was raging in the distance, fading. Exhaustion rung clear in it yet he couldn't sense who else was fighting. Two fingers raising to his forehead, he locks onto the ki sign-...was that? Thoughts thrown aside as he uses instant transmission. He almost misses the landing given rubble goes flying everywhere. But he sees it, as he's buried for just a moment under all the smoke and debris. Gohan. There is numerous injuries on his son. A quick glance upwards and he realizes...he shouldn't be here. He shouldn't be here. This wasn't his time. This wasn't- but Gohan's giving everything he has in one last attack and he realizes that this- he's about to witness his son die. Again. It leaves a bitter taste in his mouth, as much as he shouldn't interfere.
He was brought here for a reason.
"Ka...Me..."
Leaning towards the more quiet side, he's careful with it. Slowly taking the iconic stance as he makes his way out of the rubble, they haven't even noticed him yet as he uses Gohan's burst of ki to hide his own. Hang on son. Just a bit longer please. The words grow louder, he notices the confusion on the androids faces just as they begin to win but he doesn't care. The beam is coming straight down towards Gohan and he's running out of time. "HA!!"
The iconic golden glow, the rage building in his heart. He lets go of that handicap, lets go of the limits he keeps on his rage and lets it flow out. The ground ripping and segments floating upwards from the explosion of ki. He doesn't hesitate with turning every bit of energy right back at the androids. He knows it hits, he can hear the screams that distort and glitch before he see's their bodies hit the ground. It doesn't matter- what matters is getting Gohan out of there. Now. Rushing forward, his sons name on the tip of his tongue as he places his hands beneath him. Quickly lifting him into his arms before glancing back at the limb bodies, they don't move and...he's not even sure if they're alive. Even still he can't afford to hesitate, it takes more time to find a place structurally sound than he likes. But even still, he finds a somewhat okay couch to place the half-saiyan down upon. Hands hover close to the other, worried about touching, he can't see any visible wounds besides- gods the injuries. The scars that cover this Gohan make his heart ache. "Gohan..."
He finally places his hands once more, gently cupping the side of the other's face while gazing for any life threatening injuries he can find at the moment. "...M-M here. Y-You did good." Now was not the time for his voice to tremble.
