"when did you know You loved me" [lp/drake]

Patrolling were fun, nights in were fun as well. In a different manor. Sure there was no crime to stop, no villainy to defeat, no crook to arrest. Though there was popcorn to not burn as he heated the kernels on the strove top. Gosylan was off at the Muddle foots so it meant it was just the two of them tonight. Popcorn done and prepped up how Drake knew Launchpad liked it, a questionable amount of melted butter and a dash of salt with a bit of chocolate powered mixed in. Drake own was much more appealing he felt, as he made his way into the living room. Lauchpad was busy getting the movie set up for the night well Drake plopped himself down on the couch. Though the view he had of Launchpad bending over in front of him was far interesting. soon they moved to join him and Drake hand the bowl over, getting a smile out of his partner before they both slumped against the other and watched the flim. Something more fitting to the mode, a simple romance film. At one point Drake felt he was being watch turning to find his detective sense were right when met with launchpad's soft gentle gaze over him. "Something up?" Drake just asked curious about what was on their mind. "when did you know You loved me"

Drake thought those words over, when did he know? his face flushed a bit as he tugged at the collar of his shirt. The truth was he had been in love with the larger duck for longer than he noticed at first. He thought it over for a moment Launchpad was just so dependable that it was easy to over look the more romantic feelings he grew to have, but a small memory came to mind suddenly. "When Gosyln got hurt at school and I was off with S.H.U.S.H. at the time I was trying my best to leave so I could get to her. I was so stressed and annoyed because of that damn idiot bear who doesn't seem to understand anything outside that building. I knew I needed to get to the school, to her. When I finally did though I saw your car outside the school." Launchpad didn't seem to be following but Drake continued to speak "I got to the office and Gos was sitting down feet kicking as she tapped away to you like nothing had happened at all. She was more annoyed she was stuck there once I got to talk to her. I think she was a bit scared at first but you know how she can be." He chuckled fondly thinking of his little girl. Drake looking back to Launchpad "You were just always the missing piece, with all the crazy stuff they gose on either side of my life you are always there to support and help..well that's when I knew." he laughed again to himself. "Because you be ease into my life, help e with the stress and I don't think home would be home without you here for me or for Gosylan too. It just I well three just well you..work together." He rambled a bit but luckily Launchpad took hold of his face and shut him up with a kiss.

Maybe the fact I'm stubborn?  when I wanna try something new I keep trying at it like drawing, sewing, cosplaying (I'm on break from that right now) photography and even writing. I just am too stubborn to not try something I wanna do. 11. Are you nice to everyone? pft hell no, but I feel I need to explain that, I am poliet sure but that dosen’t mean I am nice to everyone. If you are a jerk I'm not going to be nice to you. XD I'm really not that much of a nice person  16. Are you more like you mom or your dad? I am much more like my mother, I even have some of her quirks and I find that funny in truth cause she often jokes why am I the way I am and tell her cause I came from her and now she gets to see what others deal with 34. Do you get jealous easily? mm not really? but I guess cause my jealously was more from a place on wanting to be like others when I was younger? growing up I just had a lot of things that made me different (being the only poc in my school for the two years as an example.) I didn’t wanna be special or unique I wanted to be like my friends and not feel weird ya know? as an adult who is more okay accepting my differences jealousy really isn’t a thing I have issue with not that I don't get it I mean its a normal feeling. I just don’t get it easily

There was no one he trusted more, no one he leaded on more, no one he need more than his side kick. Okay Launchpad was much more then just his sidekick of course, he was his best friends, is most trusted companion even. Launchpad was the one he first let know his civilian identity after all. Trusting someone again after so long? 

it wasn’t easy. Yet no matter how awful Drake could be and in truth he had some bad moments not even always the greatest with his daughter. Launchpad though, never held those moments against him. 

He was so forgiving that way. But surely even Launchpad would reach a limit right? Drake always tend to wonder and think as he got dressed for the day. He was Drake Mallard right now. Father and husband, leavening his room though he found him self walking through the tower his hideout was staged at. His sweater vest swapped out for his purple and blue costume. As he was walking down the stairs where he had the super computer set up. Looking over documents given to him from S.H.U.S.H. Eyes moving up from the paper.

“Would you just look at this,” but the pages changed turning into one of Goslyn’s recent test papers. “I knew that” he blinked noting he was back home after reaching the end of the stairs, that lead down the second story. 

Not because everywhere was changing Drake hadn’t even noticed how he wore his two looks on top one another now. No it was seeing Launchpad all packed up ready to leave that took his attention away. He dropped the S.H.U.S.H papers and walked over to the large duck confused about what was going on. He swore he would have known if they were planning some trip or took on a flying job. Nothing he could think off when raking through his memory just now. “Uh h-hey big guy what’s with all the bags here?” he went and asked trying to hide any of the obvious worries that his mind was starting to bring forward. 

Launchpad’s glace though was enough to make the small mallard flinch in response he had never know Launchpad to look at anyone like that, especially him. “Uh you um okay Launchpad? is something the matter?”  

Launchpad just gave a heavy sigh, muttering that he thought he could leave with out any confrontation like this. Drake wasn’t following “are you leaving?” he went and asked it was obvious after all with all the bags he had packed up and throw over his shoulders and arms. He confirmed it shortly after.  

Drake felt his body grow stiff the second the words left thier bill, even if he expected the answer he still wasn’t sure how to feel about it being the truth. After all Drake never really expected anyone to stick around for him, no one ever did. Becoming Darkwing he found people who would even if it was not much. Launchpad though he was one of the few he took both sides of him...so why were they going to leave. Was it because of Drake or was it Darkwing they had grown tried of? He shook his head and closed the space between them grabbing at the larger ducks arm, clinging to them with so much desperation. It was pitiful just like the mallard himself could be at times. “Y you can’t just up and leave like this..what about Gosyln? you can’t just leave like this on her” he excused as if she were the one who would take most issue with this all. Some hero using his our kid as a scape goat now. 

Launchpad just shrugged him off though with out a seconds thought to the motion, reaching for one of the many duffels on the floor. To take up the space Drake was holding on to. Making a remark that he already gave her a good bye and now he had to go. That just gave him a lump in the throat as he scrambled back to his feet, dashing to the door, arms spread out to block the exit. 

“Okay okay not just her would!” he admitted finally, Launchpad always heard him out even after bursts of anger they would so this shouldn’t be any different. “Look I know I don’t always treat you the best but I-I do appreciate having you around and I look to you a lot I know as well but I”

a slight shove and drake found himself pushed aside with out a care. Launchpad didn’t give much of a reason why he just, he just left. Didn’t matter who was standing in front of them neither was enough to keep them by his side anymore.

Poe froze the moment those words left the duck's beak. Wondering if he was mishearing. Part of him even wondered if he may be dreaming this happening. It was just so suddenly said. They just had a small lesson wrapping up as Poe made sure to put her potion bottles back into proper place when she said that to him. Causing him to let some bottles slip, at least he was fast enough to reach for them. So was Morgana. As their hands met reaching for them at the same time, bring them face to face. Her usual moonlight feathers were now wearing red on them. She smiled sheepishly to him slowly releasing the bottle as she stood back up. Poe left as he was just staring at her, from the touch he knew this was real. She truly meant those words just now and Poe hadn't said a damn word yet back. She was likely waiting for some verbal answer. What did he do? he stood up and returned the bottles back to their proper place. Buying himself some time as he went about it. Soon stopping as he grew annoyed, hand balled into fists. Why was he this he had to stop and wonder, there was no reason. He had fallen for her so easily. They clearly had chemistry between them, and now. Now she was confessing deeper feelings and yet he. "Morgana" he trailed off a moment till turning around to look back to the witch. He wanted to do this right. "I think the same about you. Spending every day with you has been like a dream. I don't feel angry when I'm with you. I feel light as if I were flying through the air even. I know this feeling is deeper than my anger ever was, it's more welcoming than my well, everything else I've been wanting to wallow in as well." Poe smiled at her. Walking over as he took her hand back into his. "No, I believe it is more than me simply just thinking I am in love with you. I know I am."

From the time they were kids, Magica and Poe were always by each other, outcasted where ever they went. But, they at least still had each other to turn to. Poe was just so used to looking out for his sister, she did always need a hand from him after all. Poe thought as he simply stared out the purple and pink stained glass. The village below was quiet today not much was going on there is seemed.  

Turning away when he heard Magica call out to him, smiling as he cast his view down, to the young duckling tugging on his cloak. She puffed up her cheeks and whined his name wanting his attention. Poe just held his smile and knelt down so he could be at eye level with her now.

“Now, now such a face doesn't suit a De spell don’t you agree?” She just gave a huff and crossed her arms over her chest now. “Now then what was so important magi?” 

That was all it took to get her to drop the expression as she excitedly held up her amulet. Eyes wide nearly sparkling as she began to ask the older duck if he would teach her a new spell. Poe listened as she eagerly listed off all the spells she wanted to learn because it meant she could learn harder ones after. Magica was many things but she did always adore magic to child-like wonder. Poe just let her go on for a bit before reaching over and ruffling up her hair. Making her face scrunch up as she whined his name again and swatted his hand away so she could fix her hair up now.

Poe simply laughed a bit, before standing back up, hands on to his hips. As he hummed over what she requested. “Well then that is a lot of spells you are thinking about, we don’t want you overdoing it and exhausting yourself, however,” he caught her bill ready to pout again “Don’t worry though I will help you out.” He held his hand and she dropped her gem letting the over large jewel hand around her as she grabbed onto him. 

Tugging on him to get him to move to say ‘lets go’ over and over, no wanting to waste a single second since he agreed. Poe just smiled and bent a bit to pick her up. “Alright Magi, I’m coming no need to be in such a rush. You have to have patience when it comes to magic remember my dear eager sister.” 

It was a nice dream Poe thought as he watched himself walk out of the room Magica with him as she went on to argue with him more, so hot-headed as a child. However, it was nothing more than a dream. He sighed a bit annoyed that he was capable to dream such things and waved his hand around to change the scene up, piles of gold, a broken window, and him flying away. Everything changed after that she didn’t need him and well he didn’t need her anymore either.

[A chance encounter] (Drake/Launchpad DT17)

Drake's entire body was sore, covered im many cuts and scraps all over. It felt like they were burning and he was sure he was bleeding from a few of them. Laying in the shallow sewer way water and he looked up to the opened manhole cover. He needed to get up. Everything hurt though. His body, his mind even his pride. And yet part of him felt relief?

Jim was alive.

Part of him couldn't help but be happy with that fact alone. He had been holding out some hope for that after all. They never found a body, no body meant that person could still be alive. Maybe tv shows weren't too unrealistic after all, as sore as he felt Drake managed to get himself to sit up. The sewer water sweeping into his costume. Drake didn’t even want to think about what he was covered in right now. as he managed to get up to his feet only to fall down on to his knees. He wasn’t going to get far like this he need to get some help. Drake hated todo it but he managed to pull out his phone and get a message out to Launchpad. Sending out a location at best he hoped that would be enough as he got up once more he needed to get out of the sewer at least. 

No matter how painful it felt to have to pull his self back out he knew if he could at least get back up top then Launchpad could find him, they shouldn’t have split up. Was all Drake could think. Suddenly donning on him what if Jim found Launchpad first? or was going to him now? Panic was enough to get him to move faster. Throwing himself on to the ground as he fished around for his phone again. Launchpad hadn’t seen the message still.

Poe walked up behind the witch as she sat by her vanity mirror her familiars all around her as they gathered up her brushes nd makeup for her. He tilted his head a moment as he looked it all over. 

She seemed to be looking over her sets herself, Poe peered over her shoulder, he was noticed by this time as she seemed to look his way now slightly moving over so he could have a better look. He was a bit disconnected with the world himself after being a raven for so long of course there was also the fact he didn’t interact with the world much as well didn’t help. But seemed make up was still a thing though very..different. Or that could just be Morgana herself. 

“You tend to do purple a lot is there any reason?” He asked curiously, she just shrugged and told him it was because she liked the color. Poe looked her outfit over a moment, wondering what else may look good with the red grown she favored so much, a slightly across his cheek when he thought of a color that may work out well. 

“Well what about green then?” he asked as casual as he could hoping that it wouldn’t be to obvious what he was getting at. A hidden crush may not be so hidden after all. But she didn’t seem to be against the idea either, Poe decided to take it a step further then if that was the case, leaning over to get the pallet himself as he held it up to offer what he had in mind. She gave him that bewitching smile he was growing to adore more and more everyday he saw it on her face. As she closed her eyes for him. 

Poe smiled a bit to himself as he went for the green in the case and gently swiped it over he eye lid making sure to get it covered but not going over board on it either. Once he felt it was good he moved to her left eye and continue the same process, she stand still as could be for him, yet his heart was doing the opposite.

"Jee Al, ya really all torn and beat up under all those stuffy clothes."

Alastor laid with his eyes closed clam somber music playing from him as he felt angels hands run across his skin. Opening them a moment the usual hammed up smile more soft as he look at the spider demon a moment

"Well cant only wear a smile into a battle my dear."

He simply answered with as the scares decorated him with stories of his own wars through out his time in Hell.
