Slinky plus escalator. Never ending JOY!

Two years old. That was when mom first showed her how to play with a slinky. At first it was on the staircase at home and she was delighted. “Again, mommy, again!” Jessica pleaded excitedly. Nathan had been too old to want to enjoy a simple pleasure like watching a slinky and had rolled his eyes at his little sister.

Four years old, Jessica could hold the slinky in her own hands and juggle it smoothly. They were at the airport, she didn't remember why but she was getting bored waiting for the extended family member to arrive and had found an out of order escalator being worked on. She wondered if the slinky trick would work on metal stairs too. So she set it down and started it going at the exact same time that the escalator mechanic had finished his work and gotten it moving again.

The result made Jessica smile big and keep smiling until her cheeks hurt. She called for her mom and dad, she had to show them that she'd gotten the slinky to walk downstairs forever, end over end.
