Sex: Male
Aliases: Kid Demon
Species: Human (merged with demon)
Bio:
Wally West was the kind of guy you’d want as a friend, level-headed but perfectly willing to throw down if he saw that something wrong was happening. One day while with his Aunt Roxanne, an attempted terrorist attack was thwarted by the Speed Demon. Aunt Roxanne and the Demon seemed to recognize each other, but the Demon sped away before anything else could happen.
Noticing a connection, West eventually managed to make Roxanne tell him the truth. The Speed Demon is in fact the “Uncle Blaze” that Roxanne dated in high school before his apparent death. He didn’t actually die, but in fact had merged with a demonic being known as Etrigan during a Satanic ritual sacrifice gone horribly wrong. Blaze had willingly sacrificed himself and his soul to protect Roxanne and now is forced to be the host body of a violent and bloodthirsty spirit, very likely to be eternally damned for his actions.
Outraged by what he saw as an injustice for a man he now considered a great hero, West spent much of his teenage years studying the occult to figure out a way to free Blaze from Etrigan’s hold. Coming up with no clear solutions, West was confronted by the demon Neron, who offered help. West was unaware that Neron is the same demon who was responsible for Blaze’s suffering.
Neron agreed to West’s demands for a solution to save Blaze and merged him with an entity to transform him into a demon like Blaze, granting him powers to match speed with Etrigan and hopefully be able to battle the demon out of his honorary Uncle. However, Neron had his own plans. He had granted Wally this power in order to force Etrigan out so Blaze can return to being the destined host body for his son Klarion the Black-Hearted. But unknown to Neron, the demonic spirit bonded with West is sharing his body with another spirit, who may or may not be Jay Garrick, the Wild Western hero formerly known as the Phantom Flash. And Garrick may be influencing West and the demon to prolong the conflict and prevent Klarion from gaining his host until a better solution is found.
With his new powers, West is currently on a journey to find his uncle and free him from Etrigan. But saving lives and fighting villains along the way had earned him quite a heroic reputation and a christening by his peers and the public as “Kid Demon.” While frustrated by the distractions, West nonetheless embraced the image he built up for himself and was more than happy to help out those who needed it.
