Even at only a few years old Lothric’s learned to recognize Astoran armor, and knew that their knights were often grumpy. Even so, he has to be polite to guests, so he bows to them, his jewelry clinking as it dangles from his oversized hood.

"Nestor." You look down at the hatchling wyvern, his head in your lap, tuckered out from playtime. Your shirt is singed and full of holes, but you still time.
"Nestor? Why?"
"Because he likes to make nests..."
"That's stupid, all wyverns make nests."
"Well when you get your wyvern, you can name it whatever you want," Lorian says patiently, knowing full well his cousin was never going to be allowed a wyvern, because he wasn't training to be a knight, and even if he was, he didn't have the right temperament. A knight wasn't rude.

“I... don’t think I’ll be able to do this one.” Lothric frowns at the outline for Soul Stream. “It seems really strong... I can’t even do Great Soul Arrow without feeling dizzy.”

Lothric grabs Ornstein’s tail and wraps it around his shoulders so the tuft covers his face. It’s a cold morning and nobody’s lit the fireplaces yet...

Lorian’s never seen anybody who looks as... sturdy as this man. He can’t help but stare in awe. Maybe one day he can be that sturdy.

Lorian’s been picking flowers again, but it’s late in the season and they’re showering petals all over the floor. He sheepishly offers her one. A wilting daisy, but at least it’s mostly intact.

“Miss Yurie... May I have a story?” It’s very quiet in the upper hall, and Lothric had been waiting a while for somebody to come check in on him and say goodnight. “Where’s Lorian? Isn’t he going to guard me while I sleep?”

Lorian looks up at the hunter and quickly glances away, staring down at his shoes and the filmy puddle he was standing in. His hand is held tight by the Church woman overseeing the group of Orphans on their outing, and he wasn’t supposed to talk to strangers. Not that he could talk at all.
