"Remember Kid. All you need is to calm down." You said beside him.
He sighed, then slowly began to scoop the koi fish. Kid thought he would succeed in scooping the koi fish, but the paper attached to the spoon was torn. Instantly the aura that had been calm turned gloomy.
"K-Kid, calm down, we can try again" You tried to calm Kid not to get angry but, it was too late.
Kid throws the spoon away and looks at you unfriendly.
"What did you say!!? Calm down, y/n I'VE TRY TO SLOOVE THE FUCKING FISH MANY TIMES!! BUT THE LOSER PAPER SLOPES ALWAYS rips!!!!" Kid shouted right in your face.
"Wow wow, calm down bro. Let me scoop the fish"
"WHY DON'T YOU DO THAT BEFORE, WOMAN!!!" You just chuckled at Kid's words.
You start pointing the paper spoon at the red koi fish then scoop it effortlessly into the plastic container the koi craftsman gave you.
You walk around the festival. On the way Kid is silent, usually he will tease you about random things.
"Aww… is the mighty Kid sad???"
"Shut up woman!!" Kid turned his red face away.
You chuckled at your friend's behavior. Suddenly your eyes fall on a shaved ice seller not far from where you are. You stepped your foot towards the shaved ice seller.
Kid only pays attention to you. You came back with strawberry shaved ice.
"What brings that, woman?"
"Come on Kid! Don't call me woman, call me y/n" Your cheeks puffed up because of Kid
"Yeah yeah, Cutie Pie" Kid pinched your puffy cheeks. of course the arm is still intact because it's modern au.
"Kwid Twake it owff, it hwurts!" Kid releases his pinch and eats the shaved ice that is in the spoon you want to eat.
You got angry and hit Kid on the shoulder. He just laughed triumphantly and his eyes fell on the fish you caught in the kingyo sukui game.
"Why do you want koi fish so much?"
"Because I want to give it to someone" You guys walk home.
You arrived at the gate of your house and then you said goodbye to Kid. When Kid is about to walk, you grab his arm.
"Bring it!" You said while handing me the koi fish I caught at the festival.
"I gave it to you, Kid"
"Why did you give it to me?"
"As a thank you gift, because you have been my best friend for a long time" Your cheeks started to blush
"Thank you, I'll fry it when I get home"
"Kid!! You can't fry-" Your words were cut off because Kid put his lips on yours.
"Your blushing face is so cute Cutie Pie" Kid teased then left you trying to process what Kid just did.
"Make sure your face returns to normal at school tomorrow, or your face will look like Mr. Buggy's nose"
"Shut up!!" Kid stuck out his tongue and waved his hand at you.
