Fingers clinging the jagged rocks that lined the coast, waves beating her with all their might, pushing themselves down her throat to flood her lungs, she fought death off. Gasping, coughing, clawing; She imagined her death differently. Dying in order to save an innocent or being shot down in the noble pursuit of a better world, but here she was. She would die here and the ocean would sweep her body away, leaving no trace of her behind for the world to remember. No! She clenched her teeth together and hugged the rock close to her, the waves ramming her into the sharp edges, leaving crimson tears along her stomach. This was not going to happen! She would not let this happen! Her eyes searched the surrounding waters desperately and was overjoyed to find a small boat about a mile away from her. It was coming toward her! Between bursts from the ocean’s currents, her hand shot up and screams pushed water from her lungs. Finally!
