Kids
Johnny was balancing on a log as he looked around for his bullseyes his mom had put up in the small tree area they have in the back which consist of six trees and a few bushes. After he’d been to his archery lessons he’d wanted to practice at home, and once dad had finally caved they’d gone out and picked him up some non-harmful kid ones that had flat suction cup where the tip should be. His parents had told him that if he wanted to really practice he had to go to the archery range, this was just for fun.
The rules were that he wasn’t allowed to aim it at the house, and he couldn’t hit people with it no matter how fake it was and how cool he thought it was.
With that he’d tired to line up the arrow the best he could with the target closing his left eye as let go of the arrow and watched it go soaring towards the target that was lit up with colors of yellow to blue to red to black from the middle out. Yellow being the bullseye, black being the outer edges, hitting the red.
“Yeah!” He cheered grinning to himself as turned to his sister and the rest of his little gang, Cole and Mary. He could see his parents and uncle and auntie behind them sitting at the patio behind them with baby Charlie.
