Sighing she pushed back her head and looked at him. “Sorry, that was rude. Can I help you with something Chris? If you are looking for Travis he and mom went to go check on one of the neighbors and Nick went out so it’s just us right now.”

❛ you bet your be-hind i’m serious! ❜ a thick giggle came from grinning lips, not being able to even try to pretend that she was having a serious conversation. the tension that had seemed to be knotting up her shoulders seemed to dissipate, even if ever just slightly, at the boy’s smiling visage. even before the neighborhood had gone into lockdown, emma couldn’t remember seeing the boy smile (or, really, ever actually acknowledge her presence with more than a passing glance.) a content sigh passed her lips as her giggles died down, her shoulders slouched as she let herself bask in the comfortable silence. this moment was the first time since nick had been taken and liza had gone with the military officials that emma really let herself stop mulling over the ‘what if’s that plagued her thoughts and let herself be hopeful once again. after all, if she could get even the most serious of people to smile, anything is possible. ❛ yeah ------ yeah, i think you will. in fact, i’m almost positive that it will happen. ❜

          Carol doesn’t like what’s currently taking place. She has a feeling it’s all about to go horribly wrong. The way Negan is speaking, the way he’s acting. Something is bound to go wrong. And unfortunately for her...

          She’s right.

          She flinches, watching the man stab Spencer, watching the scene pan out. It’s like slow motion, and she would turn away to vomit if a gun wasn’t pointed to her head. And all so suddenly another death, just like that. Olivia was gone too. Two people, again, dead. She lets out a whimper, doesn’t even know the time anymore, how long she’s been standing there, or that she’s alone. Or at least... Almost alone.
