i can imagine the confusion when kid grian tells the hermits he like rabbits because they remind him of a friend, when that's the exact same explanation adult grian gave for why he hates them

OH, I’m not the one that made the AU, that would be @callieharm you should ask this question to them, but yes I could imagine the hermits be concerned and curious that a seemingly childhood friend could turn into an enemy.

Kidrian AU Drabble

The little guy is running around the shopping district after having promised to Mr Etho that he will stay on the island while the adults are running errands. Why these weird boxes smelled like old mushrooms is not something he would explain so Kidrian is just looking for the llama ride with the few diamonds he was allowed to use.

In the middle of searching he found Mr Cub hiding rather badly under a grass hill, he hasn't seen him so he will now initiate surprise attack 87!

He crouches and carefully climbs in the airholes while Cub isn't looking and just jumps on his back!

"You are very bad at hide and seek! I found you!"

Cub for his part is laughing, of course the leader of the resistance even as a toddler, is able to find him.

"Yeah, you found me alright" he manages to get Kidrian off his back. "What are you even doing here?"

"Mr Etho has something to do here so he gave me some diamonds while he does some stuff."

"Mind showing me?"

"Nope! Mr Etho said it's a secret."

He has to stiffle a chuckle, he can guess what it is, but he's not about to end his fun.

"Keep your secrets then, want to keep me company?"

"What are we doing?"

"Spying."

"On what?"

"A secret."

At that Kidrian pouts, but that quickly gets changed when Cubfan gives him some diamond shaped candy. All in all it's a pretty good day for the child.

Kidrian just thinking out loud about where the best place to find (and steal) food would be, and maybe some weapons in Japanese. Etho was just walking by and is now very concerned.

Bold of you to assume Etho wouldn't use this as an oppurtunity to do shenanigans, safe shenanigans for kids but still shenanigans

Kidrian au but added with Wilbur and him being brothers would be funny

Because there's the kid gushing all about his twin, who in his timeline of events hasn't seen for a few months, and goes on about how much the two played together

Cue someone asking for the name

The mental image they have of that kid quicjly gets replaced by Wilbur Soot loosing his marbles with TNT and just

who is kidrian most comfortable with?

From the first day it's Etho because he's the only one who vaguely looks familiar to him, because this guy cosplays an anime character and talks Japanese so it's easy for Kidrian to get attached, over time it extends to Stress for her kindness and Team ZIT for their chaotic nature any kid would love

The ones he won't be comfortable with until later are the ones who look like responsible parents, because his parents looked like that and were anything but that

Yes that includes Mumbo Jumbo which makes the tall man very sad because his best friend as a child is visibly uncomfortable around him, up until he has a spoon moment in front of Kidrian that is

first and foremost,, i love ur content and also for kid grian, would he grow up in stages, slowly but surely or would it be more like sudden growth spurts with new memories like for an example they suddenly have to deal with tokyo soul grian and then they have yhs grian? and if yes would it extend to time after he got 'immortal'? would the hermits see evo grian or watcher grian? how would they react

Okay so it was intended for him that whatever turned him back into being a kid just wears off and whether or not it was planned to wear off would determine if Grian is actually with too tiny clothes or actual adult clothes when turned back.

This makes me think many funny thoughts

Like suddenly dealing with a Grian who can and will use weapons to demand to know where he is

Then a Grian who's dressed like Link and about to use TNT on everyone and may be slightly unstable

While Watcher Grian, going with my own personal headcanon of Watchers since I see them more like parent figures trying to contain a gremlin immortal child, well he's just vibing, wondering if that is the world his parent figures were about to send him in for further therapy

Also they are kinda dealing with TS Grian since he was already in Kindergarten and knows the other kids as his friends

Reactions from the Hermits vary, first it's disbelief because he was supposed to be an adult now, not slightly older and then full blown concern because why does the teen know how to shoot a gun
